Why are the dusk out there? People think that the Dusk are the shells of the heartless and that the dusk are effected the same way as the NEOs. My personal guess is that the Dusk are sent by the unknowns to capture people that have the potential to become keyblade masters and study their hearts. But....there are so many possibilities.....what are they? Who are they working for? Why do they exist in the twilight? I don't get it...can anyone help me?

As it has been said before the unknowns are with out a heart. They are the soul and the body of someone who lost their heart. I feel that the Dusk could be the soul of a person who was an unknown that lost his/her body.
dusks ARE neos. they are what is left of the body, once the heart leaves it. See one of the ansem reports, cant remember which.
LordMune is right, we have heard that Neos will be in KH2 but so far no one has confirmed that they are the same as the dusk.
