Trying to get the last few treasure chests in traverse town

I need one more trophy in order to unlock the secret ending, so I've been trying to get every treasure chest. I need one more chest in Traverse Town but whenever I enter the Fountain Plaza, it forces me into the Julius boss battle. Half of the map is cut off due to a force field so I can't get to the remaining chest. Am I stuck or is their a way to not trigger that battle?

It's kinda like missing that one treasure chest in BBS where you fight the MF. It's either give up on the chest, or beat the boss :/

You have to beat Julius, but fear not; he is a classic secret boss, which means to grind until he's easy, and trust me, he will be easy with a high attack, defense and HP stat.
