Forgive me if this dosn't belong here, but it seems like an intellegent topic to me. After going over Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, some observations came to mind.
Im sure we already know all this, but if you completly missed out on book 5, you can tell the type of person Snape was by analizing the condition of his potions book. But first off, why did Slughorn have his extra copy? Was it planted there? Or did Snape leave it behind and forget about it? Highly unlikely, but worth pondering. Well, Prince, was Snapes mothers last name, so we can tell that if he would rather have her last name, that he absolutly dispises his father, and of coarse, loves his mother. The books condition was in ruins, it was a miricle it stayed intact. He probably had to buy the book 2nd or 3rd hand, and he obviously used it a lot. His love and talent for potions was very clear. Also, Hermione said that his handwriting looked like a girls, but in the 5th book, it was discribed as "miniscule and cramped", small handwriting ussually indicates a very detailed mind. "Extremely small handwriting reveals a person who can completely shut out the world from his/her mind, someone with high concentration. Perhaps it's also introversion." http://www.cristine.net/log/archives/001009.html
Id recomend reading that page on small handwriting, it can reveal a lot about snapes character. Im looking up the ssituation online, adn its coming up with lots of thing, like it may indicatee modesty, but mostly im getting results of a brilliant mind. A classmate of mine had extreamly small handwriting, of coarse, he accidentily set himself on fire while playing with his brother. According to one site, small handwriting inicates patience or a lack of self confidence. I think all this fits in with his character very well. What do you guys think? These are just my observations.
