(You and Chirithy return to Castle of Dreams and find a notice posted outside at the gates.)
Notice: All loyal subjects of His Imperial Majesty are hereby notified by royal proclamation in regard to a certain glass slipper.
...
That every single maiden in our beloved kingdom, without prearranged exception, shall try upon her foot this aforementioned slipper of glass.And should one be found upon whose foot said slipper shall properly fit...
such maiden shall be acclaimed the object of this search and immediately forthwith shall be looked upon...
as the one and only true love of His Royal Highness, our beloved son and heir, the Noble Prince
...Chirithy: A glass slipper? They must mean her, right?
Let's go see what's happening!
(On your way to Cinderella's house, you run into the Grand Duke, carrying the glass slipper. He's confronted by Heartless and is unable to proceed.)
Grand Duke: What is going on here?
I can't carry out his majesty's orders like this.
(You dash to the duke and defeat the Heartless.)
Grand Duke: Oh, it's you…
You saved me yet again. Thank you.
If this glass slipper had been broken… We nearly lost our only clue to finding the lady our prince is searching for.
Well then, I must hurry.
(If using the male avatar: The Grand Duke walks away. Scene ends.)
(If using the female avatar: The Grand Duke starts to walk away but stops. Scene continues.)
Grand Duke: Hm. Perhaps meeting you here was more than coincidence.
The order was for every maiden...
(He turns to you.)
Grand Duke: Hey, young maiden.
(You turn around. Finding no one, you turn back and realize he was addressing you.)
Grand Duke: Yes. You're the only maiden here.
(You approach you, and he kneels down.)
Grand Duke: Try it on.
(You excitedly present your foot so you can try the slipper on.)
Grand Duke: Wait, wait, take off that shoe first.
(Confused, you raise your foot and shake it.)
Grand Duke: What, you don't even want to try it on?
If this slipper fits, you may just be welcomed into the royal palace.
Hm. Oh well. As you wish.
(You give up.)
Grand Duke: I'll take my leave.
(Grand Duke walks away. Chirithy appears after he's left.)
Chirithy: What were you expecting?
You know who the glass slipper belongs to!
Let's go check on her.
(You get over your disappointment, and continue on your way to Cinderella's house.)
(Meanwhile, Lady Tremaine summons her daughters to have a talk in the hallway.)
Lady Tremaine: Drizella! Anastasia!
Get up! Quick! This instant!
(Jaq hastily scampers behind bench and eavesdrops.)
Drizella: What is it, Mother?
Anastasia: What’s going on?
(Cinderella happens by them and stops to listen.)
Lady Tremaine: He'll be here any minute.
Drizella: Who will?
Lady Tremaine: The Grand Duke. He's been hunting all night.
Anastasia: Hunting?
Lady Tremaine: For that girl. The one who lost her slipper at the ball last night.
They say he's madly in love with her.
Anastasia: The Duke is?
Lady Tremaine: No, no, no! The Prince!
Cinderella: The Prince!
Lady Tremaine: For heaven's sake. Get your head out of the clouds!
(After being disappointed at the ball, Drizella and Anastasia don't seem to care too much about what their mother is saying.)
Drizella: What for?
Anastasia: The prince is looking for that girl from last night, right?
It's got nothing to do with us.
(They start heading back to their rooms, until Lady Tremaine yells at them.)
Lady Tremaine: Now, you two, listen to me!
There is still a chance that one of you can get him.
Drizella & Anastasia: What? One of us?
Why, Mother, what do you mean?
Lady Tremaine: Just this. No one, not even the Prince, knows who that girl is. The glass slipper is their only clue.
The Duke has been ordered to try it on every girl in the kingdom, and if one can be found whom the slipper fits, then...
by the King's command, that girl shall be the Prince's bride.
(Anastasia and Drizella freak out as Cinderella realizes that her dreams are about to come true.)
Cinderella: His bride...
(Drizella runs up to Cinderella.)
Drizella: Cinderella, iron my dress!
(Anastasia sees that Cinderella has completely drifted off into her own world.)
Anastasia: W-w-what's the matter with her?
(Drizella tries again to get her attention.)
Drizella: Wake up, stupid!
Anastasia: We've gotta get dressed!
Cinderella: Dressed... Oh, yes...
We must get dressed. It would never do for the Duke to see me looking like this.
(Cinderella happily dances away, leaving her stepsisters stunned by what has just transpired. However, Lady Tremaine seems to have realized the reasons for her strange behavior, and follows after her.)
(Back in her room, Cinderella sings to herself as she prepares for the duke's arrival. Jaq runs over to try and get her attention, but she pays him no mind.
Lady Tremaine enters the room and a dark aura forms around her. She moves to lock Cinderella's door, snapping the girl back to reality just as she sees her stepmother trapping her in the room.)
Cinderella: What?
(She runs over and cries out.)
Cinderella: Oh! Oh, no!
No, please!
(Lady Tremaine pockets the key and walks away, ignoring Cinderella's begging.)
Cinderella: Oh, you can’t! You just can't!
Let me out! You must let me out!
You can't keep me in here! Please...
(Jaq crawls out from the crack underneath the door.)
Jaq: I gotta get that key.
(Jaq runs off, catching you outside the house.)
Jaq: Just in time!
Partner! Nearly went to find you.
Come, come!
(You nod and follow him.)
(Back inside, the Grand Duke is testing the glass slipper with Anastasia. Her foot is clearly too big.)
Anastasia: Oh! Well... it... it may be a trifle snug today.
You know how it is... dancing all night.
(The duke sighs. Now it's Drizella's turn. Her foot is obviously too big as well.)
Drizella: I'll make it fit!
(After a moment of struggling, she manages to cram her foot into the glass slipper, shocking everyone.)
Drizella: There!
Lady Tremaine: It fit!
Grand Duke: It fits?
(However, the pressure proved too much for Drizella's foot, which popped back out and sent the slipper flying. The duke barely catches it in time.)
(Back with you and Jaq, you've made it to the stairway leading to Cinderella's room, but found it teeming with Heartless.)
Jaq: Look, look. They've popped up again.
We can't help Cinderelly like this.
It's that Lady Tremaine again. She locked Cinderelly away.
And she's the one the prince wants…
I got the key back and everything! But I can't get to the room.
You gotta get rid of those things! Please, partner!
(You defeat all the Heartless, and reach Cinderella's room. Jaq passes the key to her through the door crack. However, right after the door's been unlocked, Cinderella screams.)
Cinderella: Eeeek!
(A powerful Heartless has appeared to stop her from leaving.)
Jaq: Cinderelly！
(You rush over and push it back.)
Jaq: Cinderelly! Now!
(Jaq turns to you.)
Jaq: The rest is up to you, partner!
(You nod, and the two of them leave.)
(After a grueling battle, you rush out to catch up to Jaq. Unfortunately, it appears you're too late.)
Grand Duke: You are the only ladies of the household, I hope-- I presume.
Lady Tremaine: There’s no one else, Your Grace.
Grand Duke: Quite so. Good day.
(Right as the duke is about to step out, a voice calls out.)
???: Your Grace!
(It's Cinderella! She's made it just in time.)
Cinderella: Your Grace!
Please! Wait! May I try it on?
(Cinderella makes her way down the staircase to try the slipper, but Lady Tremaine moves to stop the duke from getting to her.)
Lady Tremaine: Oh, pay no attention to her.
It's only Cinderella. Our scullery maid.
Grand Duke: Madam, my orders were every maiden!
(He gestures for Cinderella to sit down so she can try the slipper. However, Lady Tremaine trips him, and the slipper falls and shatters.)
Grand Duke: Oh, no! Oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no! This is terrible. The King!
What will he say? What will he do?
Cinderella: But perhaps, if it would help--
Grand Duke: No, no. Nothing can help now, nothing.
(Cinderella pulls out the other glass slipper.)
Cinderella: But, you see, I have the other slipper.
(Everyone is shocked, and Jaq leaps with joy. You arrive just in time to see the glass slipper sliding onto Cinderella's foot, a perfect fit.)
(Back at the castle, Prince Charming paces back and forth, waiting anxiously. Cinderella finally arrives, and the two of them run to embrace each other as they are finally reunited.)
(As this is going on, you and Chirithy make your way out the gates and prepare to go home.)
Chirithy: If you keep on believing, Your dreams will come true, huh?
(He turns away from you.)
Chirithy: I got a dream I'd love to see come true, too. I wish I could show you.
(You call out to him.)
Chirithy: Oh, nothing.
Let's keep believing in our dreams too, then. We'll make 'em come true.
(Castle of Dreams end.)
