This is probably all my fault. For the last week I’ve teased Sign saying that his name will be Bleig as a joke. Then they one-upped that and went with Brain.

I mean.
Japanese does have that issue with "l" and "r" being the same phoneme, meaning when they use them in our alphabet it can mean one or the other.
Honestly, I expected this to happen with a solid chance. Was I really the only one?

I guess I had faith that SENA's translators were at least mildly competent.

This is actually some Legend of Dragoon-tier work.

Oh, I don't think it's a good idea either. It's just that it happens, for no better specified reasons.
Really, I don't think it's even about making him more recognizable or something.

Brain. Wow, this is seriously awful. Glad I'm not the only one to complain about this. I will never call him that. Uuuugh.

But I have to compliment the jewel system for quest even though it doesn't make sense. Five, I repeat five story quests gave me 750 jewels which felt like the game saying "Oh, I just gave you jewels? I totally forgot about that. Hmm ... here, have some more." Definitely like that. xD
