11/21 Union χ JP Update: Daily Limited Draw, Time Attack Event

Daily Limited Draw for 11/21 only features Vanitas HD Ver! Each player can only pull 3 times, and each pull guarantees 1 Vanitas HD and 10 VIP coins.

Vanitas HD Ver [1 Target | 0 SP cost] Activates the ability of the following medal, fails if none exists in that position

Time Attack Event will be held from 11/21~11/28! Complete 5 quests to get Shoulder Riding Iago, which grants Raid Appearance Luck+5!

Thanks to goldpanner, we have translations for the scenes in this event:

(You and Afro run into Pinky in Daybreak Town, with an Iago accessory on her shoulder.)

Afro: Hey! Is that a new accessory?

Pinky: Heh heh heh. Pretty sweet, am I right?

(Pinky proudly shows it off as she creeps closer and closer to Afro, making him uncomfortable.)

Afro: Okay, I get it.

(Pinky just smiles as Afro frantically looks around awkwardly.)

Afro: …

Bluh. Well then, what's the deal with it?

Pinky: I won it in the new time attack mission.

Afro: Huh… So you've already cleared it?

Pinky: 'Course I did! I wanted to get my hands on this baby earlier than anyone else so I could show off.

I mean, show it off!

Anyway, good luck you two!

(Pinky leaves.)

Afro: I bet she's gone to go show off to everyone else, too.

Showboating aside, why don't we try out the challenge?

(The two of you leave to complete the event. 5 quests later, you meet back up with Shoulder Riding Iagos.)

Afro: Heck yeah, I got the prize!

(Bandana bumps into you with an Iago as well.)

Bandana: Oh, it seems as though you two have cleared it too, then.

Afro: Yep. These are great, huh?

When I saw one for the first time I thought it looked pretty average, but now that I'm actually wearing one, I really like it!

Bandana: That's nice.

(Bandana leaves. Pinky arrives, but without her Iago accessory.)

Afro: Huh? What happened to your shoulder accessory?

(Pinky looks around frantically at both of you before settling with a smug look on her face.)

Pinky: What? Oh, that. Those are so passé now.

(The two of you are shocked.)

Pinky: Hmm, I wonder what the next prize will be?

(She runs off.)

Afro: Passé? Whaaat...

(Pinky runs around Daybreak Town, crossing paths with Mog, with an Iago as well, before running away.)

Mog: Kupo! I spot someone who still hasn't got one, kupo! I can finally show it off, kupo!

(He leaves.)

lmao this was THE medal my party wanted most from this daily draw, so I’m shocked we actually got it.

That being said, I now regret drawing 10 times for my purple piggy ;w; At least I recently hit LV350 and got the 5000 jewels so the damage wasn’t too bad.

Its a very good medal indeed, especially guaranteed. Maybe I'll manage to get a copy only to roll paralysis resist xD

Well, I mean I guess with it's high multiplier, you could actually throw Vanitas HD in FS slot 2 and Kairi in Slot 3, and actually deal a good amount of damage that way. Might prove useful for certain proud quests that are yet to come.

I'm currently using him as pet on Darkgnaw to copy DW Roxas EX, and he's a freaking beast. Tier 7 copy is just a blessing.

And I really, really hate Agrabah. Just did the newest quests. It's another round of "lol run through 3 rooms that look the same, only to defeat 3 enemies that look the same. THEN GO BACK." Thanks SE. Really.

Hope we get that over here, would be fantastic on the upcoming Diamond Dust. Him in Slot 1 and KEX in Slot 2...power combo. Even better if VanHD can get EA40.

in these kind of draw you can only pull 3 times, so while not good enough for guilting it's really good for traits. I use him on Fairy Stars copying mickey EX and it's kinda good, even though being my second account I only have the keyblade to +30.

I got a -60 ground def trait on my Vanitas, so I'm really happy rn. Now all I need is 0.2 Kairi, then my Fairy Stars will be disgustingly good. Hopefully. ;_;

Speaking of which we haven't seen one of those deals in ages.

I know they've really sped up the game and those tier 4s they could have been doing aren't even remotely exciting in today's game, but still a shock, as they don't seem to take that into account. Just look at the Sephiroth EX banner right now, guaranteed in 20 pulls. As a Sephiroth EX owner from the first banner, I can tell you while he is great in certain instances (great for beating everyone in Union Cross since he is one hit and is fast, and of course, HSCs), he is big time outclassed now.

With triple Kairi EX, my Tama with ABIIIMax can do more damage than my boosted Sephiroth EX with ABIVMax.

Yet here we are, this banner is out. lol

Even when Dual Wielding Roxas is released, Reverse medals are still at a disadvantage, sadly. It's just so much easier to build up Upright buff no matter what.

I don't think Sephiroth EX is outclassed, at all.
I can imagine a Darkgnaw setup with with KEXx2, DW Roxas EX (preferably copied, for example with Xion) and then Seph EX in the x3.00 slot dealing a sick amount of damage.
Ofc it depends on one having those medals - but the same goes for Kairi EX alone. Whoever doesn't have her probably tries to grab Seph more easily because they don't have an upright advantage anyway. And if someone who didn't get Kairi manages to get DW Roxas EX...
Reverse medals are currently definitely worse off than upright in NA, but Seph is still a very nice 1 hit medal, both for regular battles as well as HSCs.

Yes which is a shame. I like the possibility of drawing a specific medal even though the way they did the banner back then wouldn't hold up for today's standards, it wasn't even really worth back then (3000 jewels for a Tier 4 without dots and one broom on top, meh) - still, the basic idea is nice. If they'd change it a little, like making banners for specific tier 4's that come maybe 2-dotted this might better justify 3000 jewels or 1500 without dots or broom.

Seph EX is still a very good medal with a high multiplier and by no means outclassed. Yes, he's not gamebreaking anymore since Kairi came out but still a very good Reverse Power Medal with a single hit, I'd love to have one because I lack real reverse power medals - I only have HD Xion which you can't really count since it's a copy medal and Saix B (who still holds his ground thanks to ground def, but Tier 3 shows). Still, no way I'm putting jewels into that banner, it's just a rip-off. But well, easy to skip, easy to save, no harm done.
