The news doesn't stop! In part 2 of their interview with series director Tetsuya Nomura, IGN asks about future DLC options and bringing the rest of the series to Xbox.

On DLC, Nomura had this to say:

"In this day and age, most major titles do have some kind of content releases after their release. So since I considered Kingdom Hearts 3 to be one of those major titles, I do want to have something to add to your enjoyment of Kingdom Hearts 3, so maybe you could continue to play a little longer than release, but we haven't really thought of anything in detail yet."

Nomura mentioned that a possible DLC option they could add would be the customization feature from 0.2 since that mechanic will not be in KH3 at launch.

When asked about bringing the All-in-One collection to Xbox, Nomura commented:

"We obviously would need to discuss with Microsoft if we are to do this or not, but we haven't even started the conversation yet. So just not at this moment."

You can read the entirety of the article here. IGN promises more updates from their time with Nomura, and it's still E3 week so expect even more information to be coming your way!

Them thinking of putting in customization makes me so happy!!! I loved it in 0.2 and it would be awesome if we could do similar to Sora at some point. I'm glad they're at least considering it.

As long as they aren't cutting large amounts of content to be sold as DLC later, i'm fine with this. Them focusing on the main game and not thinking about it much is a good sign. Stuff like customization and skins are also pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

I hope customization will be a lot better than what it was in 0.2
I want full color modifications, applying other character's color scheme to Sora, maybe even actual differentiations, like hood/no hood.
Dev team, if you're not running against time please don't just give me some techno fluo stuff, ONE bracelet, modifying only small parts of the clothes and call it a day.

Makes sense. This is becoming quite the norm for big titles now. Outfits would have me interested. A multiplayer (PVP) component would too.

This was a obvious response to me. If you want to do it, then why don't you ask? Doesn't seem like they are interested.

The article mentioned that Sora needs to dress the part in what world he's in. But what about Mirage Arena? That place doesn't have citizens walking around, it's just monsters and chaos, it would be the perfect spot for characters to dress strangely. If that world is brought back it's the perfect place for DLC. Pay to unlock new battles, arena clothes, etc.

I think it would be reasonable for them to have outfit customizations on Sora's base form no matter where he is but then when he transforms they go away.

That said, a mirage arena or coliseum type area would be the perfect place to put DLC. So many possibilities to add new bonus bosses and gauntlets. I think that we shouldn't rule out the possibility of DLC superbosses in other areas or even a whole extra dungeon like Cavern of Remembrance, though.

The fact that Phil Spencer is not having talks with Square Enix to bring the Kingdom Hearts HD collections to Xbox One boggles my mind. Surely, a game with this much anticipation should become familiar to Xbox One players.

To me, it reads like they want Microsoft to approach them and offer to pay for marketing and distribution for the collection, and from how Microsoft has been sitting back it seems like this isn’t something they want to pay for. I think they could circumvent this with a digital only release but I think Square also wouldn’t want to pay for their own devs tweaking the game to work with Xbox.

Perhaps both are being naive on the situation then? For the sake of Xbox fans, I hope the collection eventually comes for them. And as you stated a digital only release would probably be best. I think that "discussion" would happen after KH3 has gone gold.

Wish they would just approach Microsoft already if that's the case lol bought an Xbox One ages ago on the promise that KH3 was coming out for it and had that lil scare a couple years ago at this point i just wish i could re-experience the games in HD and the remastered ones without having to own a PS4. Just wonder how much work it would actually be to make a port for the Xbox One.

Seems like a lot of people would get a chance to play the games before the next big release in the series but also seems like it could be a use of time and effort that would be better put into KH3
