The Kingdom Hearts series will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022, and Series Director Tetsuya Nomura has shared a video highlighting new releases leading up to it! Not only is Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5, 2.8 and Kingdom Hearts 3 finally arriving on Switch via Cloud, but a variety of new merchandise will also be making their debut. The previously delayed finale of Dark Road is also scheduled for a Winter release.

A 20th anniversary event will also be held. More details on that will be released at a later date.

You know, the stuff many organisations usually leave unannounced to pad the presentation out: Switch versions, Sora Smash, Dark Road.

They must have some sweet announcements lined up then.

There are other PoC in this series, but I get your point. It's great to finally have a black Keyblade wielder, and way overdue too.

Also, are we actually getting a canon POC original character in Dark Road?? I won't hold my breath expecting much from them but that is exciting.

He's the first PoC debuting in DR but not the only one in the game as we also have Eraqus and Xehanort. Hopefully we'll get more!

•Sora is in SMASH. All I ever wanted. And KH2 gets four costumes? Omg im screaming. That means Sora will fight Clout and Swaggeroth with mods.

•Series finally reaches the Switch in some capacity. Now I can show my Switch only friends why KH is a must play series, and I'll start them off with KH1.

•A new trailer!!

The Bad:
•Winter release means February lmao. KHUXDR is a disaster

•Cloud version for 1.5+2.5 is a let down, makes Critical Mode Lv1CM a nightmare tbh. But its better than nothing.

•vague release windows in general make me itch
