Those puzzle games...oh man, I see myself spending a hefty amount of time, I find puzzle games way too addicting! Also love the art style for the world, giving me that cel shaded vibe, like Okami or Wind Waker.

I like that they’re doing more puzzle based stuff for the world since they have so many other minigames throughout other worlds now.

Those black lines around the characters in 100 Acre Woods look a little off to me. It feels kind of like they wanted to do cel shading but didn't commit to it.

I'm not familiar enough with how Mark Hamill sounds to say much here, but that would be a really interesting VA choice if you're right.

I do have to ask, if there are other Disney worlds, does anyone else find it a little funny that Xbox got 100 Acre Wood of all things? I was talking a big game about how they’d show a world that’s a little more edgy to appeal to Xbox fans and they gave us Pooh. Lmao.

Oh definitely! They also got that Cloud world reveal. They packed a lot into this one, which was nice. Maybe Disney and SE want to save the other worlds to reveal themselves on neutral console ground with the release so close?

Everything in this trailer was amazing except for Master Xehanort's new English voice. Not really feeling it, but given the circumstances, I won't fret over it. Otherwise, WOW! What a great trailer. I'm really surprised they saved 100 Acre Wood for this event though, given that Winnie the Pooh is last thing you'd think to present at a conference full of Microsoft fans lmaooo.

I find it funny we are still technically at the same world count as we were after E3. Kind of a shame 100 Acre Woods was spoiled a whole year ago, lol

I'm honestly just stunned that Xbox was cool with having a Winnie the Pooh world reveal on their stage. Of all the things you associate with the Xbox fanbase, Winnie the Pooh has got to be on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Agreed. I love the color palette and art style their using and how the minigame blends 3D and 2D objects. This is the best this world has ever looked. We’ve also only seen that one little location in that cutscene, so who knows what else we’ll see.

I don't want to go back to the 100 Acre woods.

I'm just glad Xbox is finally starting to realize that they can have more than just "pewpew-bangbang sports vroom" in their marketing and that they should be showcasing a wide range of titles at their events.

I do think it's hilarious how, just like the Frozen trailer, the big thing they were trying to highlight (the world reveal) is not what people are the most excited about.

I'm not sure Xbox has caught on to the fact that the people who play KH primarily for the Disney content tend to be the more casual crowd. All the hardcore fans are neck deep in the anime-ass lore.

The sort of paper mache motif and softened color palette of KH1 and 2 were much more evocative of the storybook feeling:

The outlines here are harsh and distracting, especially with Sora (it's like somebody is about to crop him out of the picture). The textures have a kind of waxy junky feeling to them that makes me think of a Direct-to-DVD cover illustration. I do like how expressive Pooh is given that, and I love that we're visiting the world again, but on the whole I just don't understand why they went with this style. And I miss the Kingdom Shader.

You know as much as I wanted to have the graphics for 100 Acre Wood to be reminiscent to 2011 film, I'm pleased with what Square managed to put out here, so I don't see why the graphics are that bad? As Zip and Swoosh said the graphics, color palette, art style, and the black outlines of the characters gives of a storybook feel to this world when compared to the other Disney worlds we got in the game.

Also, I know we might not get new information until next week but when Sora was doing the Puzzle mini-games I notice icons of Lumpy and Gopher on the bottom right with a blue bar what do they represent?

I'm also interested on 100 Acre Wood's size for KH3, cause it seems that it might not be large in scale as the other Disney worlds and Twilight Town in the game, but it wouldn't hurt for some area exploration for different mini-games we try out in the world, so who knows.

I mean it doesn't help they chose 2 of the more obvious choices for the game lol, I was surprised by almost all the worlds but those 2 tbh lol. I usually share equal hype of a Disney reveal and new anime crap. This time, not so much since this was super par for the course. I was pleasantly surprised to see Lumpy lol, but thats about it.

I really hope it's the last time we have 100 Acre Wood and in the next saga Jungle Book becomes the new optional World. Not that I care about Jungle Book, but feels like it could be a good replacement. I'm just tired of the boring 100 Acre Wood.

The whole point of 100 Acre Wood is that it's a chance for the player to breathe. It's supposed to be fun and relaxing, and I always felt that that 100 Acre Wood worked perfectly for that. They tried to do that with Atlantica as well in KH2 but the timed button pressing and... questionable vocal performances from SDG made it not so relaxing.

I'm the first person to say that I want a new mini-game world because I'm sort of over Pooh and Disney has a ton of properties that would work well in its stead. But this is the cap-off of the Xehanort Saga, so it makes sense to say hello and goodbye to Pooh one last time.

I am very happy to know that this creature's name is Lumpy. Guess I have another movie to rent before KHIII comes out. :)

I'm in the middle of watching Pooh's Heffalump Movie for KH3, and while it's not the most exciting thing, it is cute and I'm glad to see another character added to the 100AW gang.

Hundred Acre Woods with its silly mini games are always fun for me, I'm not trying to rain on the parade of this world reveal. I think it'll be a fun place to visit. But I don't like the Pooh movies themselves. The animals get lost in the wilderness, fall a lot while convenient branches and roots break their fall so that they're not ever injured, and then they eventually go home. Wowzers!! I'm on the edge of my seat! In my opinion Pooh only works in slice of life antics, not adventures.

I respect your opinion, but like everyone said the point of 100 Acre Wood is that the world is supposed to be a breather for the player from the huge conflict happening in the game. Frankly, I'm never tired of seeing Pooh and his friends and it's always fun getting to do the mini-games from this world even if the ending will be bittersweet. I also believe that this might be the only world to appear in future installments of the series given that the other returning worlds such as Olympus and The Caribbean are wrapping up their storylines in the game and it will be the last time we get to see of them.


Me too, I actually remember watching this movie when I was 9-10 years old and as you said it yourself the film was very cute and love the friendship Roo had with Lumpy.

It's also interesting that he's the first Winnie the Pooh character to originate from the Winnie the Pooh films developed by Disney Toon Studios and not from the main animated features canon (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh (2011)). Another thing is that Pooh's Heffalump Movie was released when Kingdom Hearts II came out in 2005, but it seems that at the time the crew was already finishing the 100 Acre Wood world and they felt it was too soon to add in Lumpy and his mother in the game when the film came out.

I also am hoping for elements of the 2011 movie would be included in the world since that film also came out after KH2 much like the Heffalump Movie. If not then, I'll happily take the inclusion of Lumpy, and also getting to hear Tom Kenny voicing Rabbit in his first KH game since he took over the role in the 2011 film prior to Ken Sansom's passing in 2012. Now we get both Rocko and Heffer in the same KH game together.

Heffalump movie taught us not to be scared of foreigners, if you get to know them they probably wont be evil and dangerous like the rumors said they would be. Will this be brought up in Kingdom Hearts or just skipped over? I imagine Sora going up to Lumpy and doing his usual “hi complete stranger lets be friends!!” and that’s the end of that drama. Or will Sora have to lecture Roo about how he shouldn’t be judgmental and how it’s rude to put leashes on others?

It's decent but The Tigger Movie and Piglet's Big Movie were much better.

Maybe each mini-game mission will be from different Pooh movies besides them using the original film. It'd be a good way to mix things up.

My thoughts exactly. It'd add more value to each visit of the world (assuming that we're going to be visiting it multiple times).
