My friends are my power because not only do they give me strength when I need it or help me laugh when things aren't so great, but as we grow closer and become better friends I can see myself reflecting in them and them reflecting in myself. To know that I'm impacting someone just by being around them and I'm being changed in small ways by being around them... intertwining us together in each other's life in small but extremely important ways is what keeps me going.

Our power is swirling between us and only getting stronger with each passing day!

My friends are my power because they granted me the courage to seek counseling when I couldn't explain what I was going through. I met them my first quarter after transferring to a new university and I'm so glad to have them in my life. We're in winter vacation but I plan on seeing them after the new year!

My friends are my power because they are always there when I need them. They can make my day 10 times better when I hang out with them.

Whenever I feel alone in the world or like nothing really makes sense, when I question life choices that both me and others make - I know my friends will have my back and either support me or enlighten me on some new ways to see things. They help me learn, grow and enjoy life to the fullest, even when sometimes things seem like nothing is worth fighting for.

Well anyways... for the contest.

No matter how many friends I made over my 28 years of life in this world.... I was never able to "feel" their presence with me. It would always feel like I was in a dream, the longer I've lived, the more disconnected I've felt from this world... like I'm not even here, like whatever I do doesn't matter. I'd always feel alone, no matter what. Regardless of these feelings though... I still desperately yearn for that day, when I can meet my online friends, those whom have accepted me despite me being transgender and autistic, whom see me for whom I really am, the me behind the screen, behind my body. I don't know if I'll ever feel anything with them, but my heart aches to be with them, and to cosplay and truly be there for one another.

It's what has kept me alive during these times when I just wanted to give up and die, that sliver of hope that I could find happiness with my online friends someday... in that regard, my friends aren't just my power, they're my hope I need to get through the deepest darkness... and into the light with them.

My friends are my power!! because... they embrace both my light and my darkness, and despite how different I always end up to be and how much deeper my emotions and pain go, they follow and stretch out a hand for me to take, as they pull me out of the waters to which I keep returning to sink...

I only have a few friends but I know their friendship is real. So, my friends are my power because I have been going through some rough times lately and they have been there to help me out and just listen. Honestly probably wouldn’t know what to do without them.

My friends are my power because only thanks to them I got to finally break out of my shell and experienced many different things outside of my own scope, and it was to better my relationship with them that I finally decided to seek out help and started a therapy.
I'm still kinda reclusive and I'm an individualist by birth, but I've decided to better myself thanks and for others.

We're not supposed to endure life alone. We're here to help one another. Our friends, our loved ones are the source that keep us going, inspiring us to live our truth and shouldering our burdens when we are discouraged. They're the people we want to make the world a better place for, whether they're our childhood neighbors or unmet kindred spirits on our favorite message boards or even the people we miss, distanced by circumstance but not forgotten. The friendships I've made were fuel for better days, and, in turn, I hope I've inspired my friends to live courageously too.

My friends make my life worthwhile even if I tend to feel like my college is a creatively bankrupt environment. I'm in a musical theater program and it's not a great one-- independence isn't nurtured or encouraged by the curriculum, and the work we end up doing is not representative of our own thoughts or artistic vision more often than not.

BUT! When I meet up at my apartment with my friends, we spitball ideas for shows, musical numbers, cabaret performances and duets and trios from classic shows for all different combinations of us to learn and try. It's fun stuff and helps me know that I'm not wasting my time; as long as I've got my friends, I've got a creative outlet and a path to a good career in what I love. They're good kids!!!

My friends are my power because they're amazing people who always pick me up when I'm down. I wish I could think of more to say to show how much I appreciate them.

My friends help me when I'm feeling down by making me remember that I'm not alone and that there are good things in life, and that gives me strength to keep on whenever things get hard. I don't know where I would be without my friends.

I believe my friends are my power because they keep me going then things get dark and bad. I've ended up in some bad places and lost myself for a while. I felt like I lost all of the people I really could call friends. but in all of that darkness I let myself get into my real friends showed up and encourage e to keep going.

My friends are why I'm here. They helped me get help and make sure I eat and take my pills when I need to. They keepme going when the darkness of my depression tries taking over. They are a light that guides me back to myself and happiness constantly. They support me in everything I do, including my transition from male to female. Many of them aren't near, but they are always in my heart, the power I need to live my best life.
