That's ok with me, what we got in that trailer is more than I was expecting to get anyway for this year's E3.

And a different FF other than XV will be there?...Since Theatrhythm is already known about, I've got a feeling it might be FFXII being remastered since there was such high demand and it dependant on X/X-2's sales.

About KH III I can't say that I am surprised. I expected it to take a "backseat" during this E3.
Not so about FF XV though as I really think they need to finally get going with that train and provide some more fodder.

About that different Final Fantasy I have mixed feelings, depending on what it is. Something about the new Theathrym? Maybe a Dissidia-esque title for PS3/PS4?
A new expansion for FF XIV?
While I am not that much opposed to the XIII-saga, I surely hope that it won't be anything related to Lightning & co., as then the haters would probably go through the roof with foam before their mouths...

Really, all I wanted was for them to at least talk a bit about both games, but apparently that's too much for them :/

But as long as they stick to their promise and show it off later in the year, then I'll be happy.

I'm keen for this new information on something other than Final Fantasy though 8)

As I was not expecting KH3 news anyway, this is fine. I was hoping for a little bit of FFXV as it is a bit further in development. Either way, TGS 2014 is in 3 months. I'll be patient.

At least with the news we have, I can really focus on everything else non-KH related at the expo. I really don't see any more news about 2.5 Remix that I won't already know about the games already.

Regardless, I'm glad that 2.5 will be getting the spotlight at E3. We already have confirmation of Comic-Con and TGS for KH3. They're probably saving most of their biggest KH3 news for later, when they have more to show of the actual game. Hopefully, we'll get everything revealed for 2.5 so that way all the stuff everyone wants them to reveal here can be revealed later on since they'll have nothing left for 2.5 to reveal.

I'm okay with this. Nomura did say that KH3 was announced early and as long as we get a steady trickle of information (like the teaser included in 2.5's trailer) holding back is fine by me. The most I'll hope for though is new artwork/costumes, but I wouldn't be heart broken if I didn't get that either.

S'cool, I guess. Even that teaser was a surprising amount.

I'm just hoping we can squeeze a bit out of him verbally, regarding mechanics. I enjoy the interviews more than the trailers for those dirty deets. No XV is a load of fucking shit however.

An insider at Gaf said that Gamescom will be all about Eidos games, so cross that one off the list as well. TGS if we are very lucky.

Just give up on FFXV. Until it is released, it does not even exist.

Not surprised, pretty sure that teaser's the only thing we'll get this time around. More surprised about FF XV not being at E3, though, although I wasn't really hoping for it to be at E3. I think that game should be at TGS, though.

I was honestly expecting a release date for FFXV from this E3. I'm glad I've never been too interested in Final Fantasy or else I'd be really really pissed about this. I'm honestly only interested in XV news because that game is an obstacle on the road to KH3 and once it's gone, the hypetrain will rocket into outer space.

Still gonna buy XV though, most likely. Looks really sick.

Personally, I only wanted/expected a little bit of KH3, and the teaser at the end of the 2.5 trailer was more than enough. What really irks me is how we're not getting any FFXV. This is literally the only FF game I've ever been hyped for (as I've never been a fan of the series).

Alright, show us what you got, Square. Looking forward to TGS, though.

My biggest wish for E3 is them revealing the box art and Limited Editions for 2.5. And I think it's safe to say that may very well happen, given their "Square Enix Presents" thing this week. So, I'm not really all that concerned with the delay in info, even if it is annoying.

Plus, there's still EVERYTHING else at E3, like Project Beast, maybe The Last Guardian, Zelda for Wii U, and so forth.

I agree that it's not surprising they don't have anything new to show for Kingdom Hearts III. Some people have very unrealistic expectations. They barely just got started with the game. I get that people have wanted a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II for ages, but unlike Final Fantasy XV this is not a game that Square Enix promised them ages ago.

That being said, if they really wanted to give Western fans a treat I'd like to think I have the perfect idea: A special video of Sora, Donald and Goofy singing Let It Go from Frozen. That would easily have been the major talk of E3 and GIFs would have been all over the internet.

I didn't mean to imply gameplay footage. More like a special video created only to generate some buzz. A bit like Joel from TLOU doing the Banderas. Frozen is crazy popular and seeing Sora, Donald and Goofy perform a Let It Go would be hilarious.

Not too bummed about no KHIII at E3, mainly because I didn't expect any information in the first place. (Even though after the II.5 release date trailer came out and we saw that sneak peek at KHIII, I thought they were prepping us by saying "This isn't even the best news, wait till E3" and surprising us with something big, but whatever. I'm content.)

It's a shame about FFXV though. Thankfully for me I'm not a big FF fan, but I am very very hyped about FFXV and making it my entry title into the series, but I can't imagine how frustrated longer-time fans are.

Wasn't there something said about a Hitman: Sniper game? Could that be what they're focusing on? If so, I have no idea why lol. Maybe they wanted to get the big KH news out of the way so they could generate hype for Hitman? I don't know. I'd like to see a FF remaster or a DDD remaster though. FFXVI confirmed at E3 and releasing before XV? (Kidding)

Honestly, didn't surprise me when I woke up this morning to find that. Especially after the 'Lost Masters' tease we got at the end of the 2.5 trailer, which I wasn't expecting. :redface:

But what does bother me of no FFXV, seeing as that game needs to come out long before we get KH3, it bothers em that the game isn't breaching full hype mode yet. Is it too much to as for a Spring 2015 release for that game? =/

The tidbit that we got today was exactly what I was expecting to be revealed at E3 this week. Hasimoto, and another executive foreshadowed it a few weeks ago, so I am not surprised at KH3. For the casual fans out there who are all about the action, they need to be impressed. That won't really happen with rough builds of the game, and after all this waiting I want a finished project; so they should take their time.



XV however...? Unless this game is a lot bigger than sandbox titles like say Grand Theft Auto 5, including PS4 quality graphics and a battle system that's usable virtually anywhere, I can not at all see why they are skipping out on E3. This game, has had one of the longest development cycles in all of gaming history. They always say the game is making good progress, but how can that be when they still have nothing to show after an entire year of absence? How can this game still be truly profitable? By the time it is released, it will almost have been 10 years, so this has NO choice but to be a finished product before release. So I do understand why they won't show it with expectations so high if it's not looking so great (playable demo great), but that is in conflict with their confidence on it's progression/completion. They fed us the same line a few months ago. As long as the games are the best they can possible be though, I don't mind the wait.

I didn't expect anything more for KH3 than a teaser, so no surprise there. But FFXV's not being featured is shocking. Unless FFXV is one of the most massive games ever made, I don't see why it shouldn't release in no more than a year and a half. Maybe they are saving both games for TGS.

FFXV won't be INCREDIBLE. It's suffering from KH2's style over substance issue. There's no reason it should take this long, without any updates.

Someone mentioned something about Comic-Con. So, unless Square is planning a big FFXV for Comic-Con, I see this as a really really stupid move. E3 is THE place to reveal game information, unless your game is not ready yet. But given how long XV has been in production and the fact that it's in full production, whereas KH3 is not, I see no reason why they are leaving it out of E3. Honestly, this is a really strange choice. I think most people were expecting a release date for FFXV from this E3. I know I was.

Jump Festa and TGS were both a real hoot for KH3 news last year!

It might actually make sense for more KH3 stuff to be announced at Jump Festa. KH 2.5 will already be out in both regions and it's Nomura's favorite event, and Comic-Con and TGS will be done with. So, if there's still not much by the time 2.5 releases, I have hope for Jump Festa.

It's been a while since D23 and they don't have any new footage they're willing to show us? Even if it's another tech demo, I just want to know the game is actually making progress. The teaser's cool and all but it didn't really provide anything new and/or substantial. However, it was to be expected. Square has no pattern really and there's no reason to continue hoping they'll do something when we want them to.

One would hope they're just diddlying with us to catch us all off-guard at one of the conferences, but I doubt it. It's just disappointing they expect us to "take a look" at the very minuscule amount of information and footage they've provided for us for another handful of months.

Given that we now have absolute confirmation that the KH3 snippet at the end of the 2.5 was all we're getting out of E3 for KH3, do guys think they'll show the cover art for 2.5? I'm almost positive the limited editions/pre-order stuff will be announced, given that the most popular question for the survey was the release date of 2.5, and then next two were bonus items and Mirage Arena online stuff.

I'm hoping. I'm really excited for the 2.5 news. I hope they don't hold back. I know 2.5 isn't releasing until December for us, but I really am not intent on waiting longer for anything else. I am ready for everything 2.5, that way any other events can give us KH3 information.

Does anyone else but me think that this claim will actually turn out to be false? I'm guessing that Square is just saying there won't be KH3 at E3 so when E3 actually comes, we'll all be shocked at there being KH3 news. Sure, such a move is pretty trollish, but some companies do love messing with their audience in order to generate hype. It sound to me like that's what Hashimoto is trying to do.

The teaser at the end of the 2.5 trailer is enough for me at this point. Considering we've been more up-to-date about this title since its announcement last year, than say FFXV's/XIII-Versus's in 2006, I'm satisfied. The inclusion of DDD segments has me hopeful they'll include it somehow, be it the actual game or cinematics, in a FINAL MIX / 3.5 ReMIX edition. [/prayers]

Hopes aren't incredibly high- but again, the best stuff IN MY OPINION comes from interviews. The gameplay is just never discussed enough. I care most about the GAME.

I would like for there to be KH3 news, and it'd be awesome if they were trolling. But I believe them saying neither game is there. We have a long wait for either game releasing. They should wait until the games are closer to release and they have more to show us.

Although, given that fiasco with The Last Guardian yesterday where they claimed the game was cancelled and then they turned around and said it wasn't and people thought Sony was trying to build hype for E3 by spreading a rumor that it was cancelled just to blow everyone's minds at the press conference, I'd say it's possible.

But doubtful. They said they're not going to be there. And unlike TLG, KH3 has not been in production for years upon years. FFXV has though.
