Square Enix have revealed a new video that highlights how Sora's newest journey will have him journey to new heights and shrunken down to new lows.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Sora will scale the mountains of Olympus to regain his lost strength, while in the Toy Story world he will help Woody and Buzz track down their kidnapped friends. Both worlds feature expansive areas on a scale that has not been previously seen in the Kingdom Hearts series.

I got so excited when I heard that remix of The Deep End. Seems like the music is dynamic to what part of the boss you’re in?
It's funny how when using the Jojo-shotlock Sora is taking a page out of Xigbar's book and shooting energy through portals which then gets distributed everywhere on the battlefield.

Hoping there's a whole lot we still haven't seen from Olympus. Underworld hasn't been shown so maybe?

It's probably another FF XV influence Nomura took over into KH III as Noctis can also switch between up to four weapons in-game.

That shotlock looks absolutely crazy and I love it. Also Ralph being in KHIII has been pretty heavily requested, so this is a nice surprise. Looks like his world is the new world for KHUX then. Cool.

Yes thank goodness You Have a Friend in Me is the field theme for the Toy Story world lol. Switching between Keyblades mid-battle is a nice surprise. Everything seemed to flow seamlessly well in combat. The party members seemed simultaneously active but also not doing a lot still, but I assume the settings were doing that? They all did basic melee attacks except one point Goofy was Goofy Tornado-ing.
I like the new "limits" and how they seem much shorter, and I'm glad Donald's is a fun call back to his Flare? spell. I think lol.
Seems like they were using a mix of old clips and maybe new ones for the voices? It was hard to tell, I dunno if I remember Donald and Goofy screaming Titan before, I think not?
Keyblade switching is exactly what this game needed.

I like that Ralph is a Summon in the sense he's in without us having to explore another world from Disney's current movies, but I'm also a little bummed because my dreams of they're first meeting have been crushed.
Man, I'm getting really strong Xenogears vibes seeing Sora pilot the robot toys in the Toy Box world. Hearing the You've Got A Friend in Me playing in the background really gave me a strong sense of nostalgia as well. E3 really can't come any faster.
This is a lot to take in but in a very good way. I love all the options we have for gameplay so it doesn't feel repetitive, I love how large everything is and that there's so much exploration, everything just looks great and it's exciting to know that the game is still coming out this year.

It's not the first time, they used Aqua's 2.5 Voice clips for the 0.2 Demo the showed at E3, so not unlikely

So the context of it would be, “Oh no, there’s one of the Titans!†That’s my hope so that we get to fight

So IGN revealed that Young Xehanort has split the world of Toy Box into two copies like the Traverse Towns in DDD, with the missing toys being trapped in the other one. So what if our second playable character gets to explore this alternate Toy Box? It seems like a weird thing to create a copy realm instead of just capturing them if it wasn’t a plot device for the other realm to be explored by either Sora or another character.
Any thoughts on this? I’d love to see Kairi or Riku team up with Jessie and Bullseye!

Ah, so it looks like the Keyblade selection is done by pressing over while on the attack command? I couldn't be happier with the inclusion. I just wonder how many keyblades you can have access to at once. I know I'll always have Kingdom Key on standby for Second Form.

I always imagined the second playable character would exclusively explore original worlds rather than Disney ones. Your idea could work, but their time in the worlds would likely be much shorter than Sora's. And I know there won't be second visits in this game like there were in KH2. But I guess playing as two characters like in 3D might not technically be considered as two visits?

Yeah I think we’ll be entering his alternate Toy Box one way or another though. Perhaps, we find the portal to the other Toy Box in Galaxy Toys and then we have to make our back out of the store and to the other Andy’s Room to save the toys from the final boss there.

This was along the lines I was thinking. I also thought it would just be OG world scenarios. But there’s a lot of worlds that could benefit from having two characters exploring them simultaneously. Toy Story and Big Hero 6 both have a lot of characters that people love. By splitting them up, they can all get more screen time. Frozen also makes a lot of sense as there is the Elsa perspective and the Anna one.
I think having them be equivalent to the 2nd world visits or the length of a BBS visit would be great. We would still hopefully have full access to the world as the second character, but their story wouldn’t be as long. (Maybe Kairi could have a Vanellope summon.)
I’d love to see them do different second playable characters in each world. Like Kairi in Toy Story, Riku in Frozen, etc. It would feel less like one character is taking a lot of Sora’s screentime.

It isn't Aqua. Young Xehanort brings a bunch of toys to life and turns them evil. The possessed doll, which has bunny ears, kidnaps Hamm and you need to fight the doll and rescue him.

You may have noticed this already too, from 14:00-16:50, you can see some tidbits of Toy Box cutscenes we probably weren't intended to see just yet taking place on the screen left of the one being played on by the Youtube's screen. I didn't pick up on anything groundbreaking, but still interesting to peek at! Cheers.

That's understandable, the actual humans are giant in comparison to the toys, plus the toys are trying not to get any attention from them.

I know right, look like we don't have to worry about speech bubbles whenever Sora has a conversation with everyone, curious to see how they would do it with the standard NPC's (e.g. the townsfolk in Kingdom of Corona or the citizens in Twilight Town.).

If he was the only one they were dealing with and specifically seeking out, they’d likely refer to him by his full name. But this seems more like they know there are several Titans around Olympus and they’re running into them while they make their through the world.

Yeah, but they’ve never spoken in game about the Titans. I think up until now, they’ve probably only thought of them as powerful monsters without having their backstory and what not. I think this version of Olympus will finally make the Titans a relevant story element rather cameos.

I think I'm actually going to upgrade from an OG PS4 to a Pro just to play KH3 at 60fps. Crazy, I know, but I think it'll be worth it.
I hope they have an option for locked 30 fps on the pro, especially since i really doubt they'll manage a stable 60 fps the majority of the time, can't think of a game that has a 60fps option that actually runs it stable.
Also rather not take the chance of having the pro sound louder than usual when playing the first time.

It looked very smooth to me in the gameplay videos, and it'll only get better as the months progress. If there will be frame drops, I don't see them being all that drastic. It should be able to stay above 50 at the very least.

That dinosaur blastoise looking toy called Ponpe resembles Rex. The three aliens might be kidnapped by the alien ship. After all, that grind rail resembles an alien abduction pattern and it leads into the UFO part of the building (you can see the UFO from the cutscene that introduces Galaxy Toys). The one that is an odd one out is Hamm and the Mysterious Onyx doll.
However I'm just not sure if up the top there would immediately launch into that boss battle. We might be able to see a few more different areas, but no one can say for certain that the alien boss would be up there.

Ohhh. I didn't even remember we don't see the Aliens get rescued, so yeah that is very true. So yeah I guess since the Dinosaur was so close to the Onyx doll, the UFO could finish that out soon after.

The people I saw talking about it indicated this was world space they were referring to, specifically. I acknowledge that it could mean in terms of things to do or story length though.

Yeah, I believe the minimap showed that you could go into the arcade on the 3rd floor, but the gate had been lowered in the demo.

Can confirm that that quote was referring to the scale of the world in size. We have a full transcript of the developer's panel where they mention this that will be going live tomorrow, as the first part of our impressions/recap :)

Yeah I don’t expect a confirmation on it until the game comes out. It’s probably something they wanted to save for the end product. Since the paths are labeled according to floor 2, 3, and the third one being a UFO, I think there’s a possibility that’s where that blocked off vent leads. It might not lead straight into the fight, but it seems like a possibility that’s the way you go to get there. Good point about that boss fight possibly being where you save the Aliens. I would probably snort at a cutscene of them worshipping the UFO (either the Heartless or the one in the building) like the claw. Lol
I think Vic the Visitor is the Galaxy Toys mascot of sorts. In the first shot of the store from the outside, you can see the same logo that marks the green path on the right hand side of the building. So maybe that’s what the store calls the big UFO on top?

This is terribly exciting to me, as the areas I've seen in the demo seemed to be roughly the same size as (or possibly larger), say, the areas of Beast's Castle laid out together. The prospect of each world being 2-3 times the size of KH2s worlds and STILL getting around 10 Disney worlds is intensely exciting (for me, anyway). Even more so knowing some of those worlds will have NPCs and people to break up the emptiness.
I am excited for tomorrow! (Though for me it is 2am on Monday so hopefully that's. Or like 12ish hours from now lol)
I can see how some potential worlds would have a somewhat hard time being fun to explore for long because of the massive increased scale. There's not many properties that can really lend themselves well to being that large and having enough content/variety and locations to make the world interesting to traverse for long.
I just don't want worlds where i'm like...urghh. When is this world gonna end! All these massive spaces look all the same!(The grid was horrible)
