“I wish I didn’t have to live like this,” Flurry said as she placed her knees to her chin. Her amber-red eyes glazed and still.”
She breathed slowly and ambers spread out. The girl, Flurry was deep in thought and whatever it was troubled her. And, Coda was unsure of how to comfort her.
He had only known her for a short while. Coda did notice that Flurry was really secretive and very determined. She never gave up until her opponents were dead. “Why are you so worthless?! I should have killed you and not that useless brother or mother of yours? At least, your dead, fucking mother would give me a worthy heir, instead of two worthless chumps that can’t even fight down a chipmunk!”
“Daddy!”
“Why does he have to be like that?” Flurry said as she placed her knees to her chin. Her amber-red eyes glazed and still. Flurry finally muttered.
“Huh, what are you talking about, Flur-chan?” Coda asked as he heard the quiet words spoken.
Flurry glanced at him. Her amber-red eyes were still as emotionless and stale as ever. Her mask didn’t betray any sense of sorrow or happiness. But, Coda had been with Flurry for awhile. He knew the young girl had something bothering her. What is was he didn’t know. And, it would be useless to pry it out of her.
She stood up and headed towards the red-orange water that seemed to reach outside the cave to the nearby ocean. “Shall we begin,” she asked the dark-skinned boy known as Coda as she extended her claws with small flames shooting out of the very tips of them. A small sprout of flames appeared on her back and they seemed to gradually expand. Coda nodded and approached the girl preparing his own stance. Here is my latest one.
