So I have my last character on Proud and Critical , Aqua. Did anyone find it noticeably difficult to go through a run with her. Understandably Proud and Critical mode are rather difficult yet challenging and enjoyable. When I use aqua i find myself 75% of the time frustrated i just started with her on proud mode which wasnt difficult with ven or terra at all! Any hints on what im doing right now im on radiant garden getting owned by the unversed...

ok when i hit radiant garden i said "fcuk this shit" i played command board over & over agian until i was able to make firaga burst, thundaga shot, glacier, magic Hour & Curaga. I breezed through the rest of the game, not a single boss gave me any trouble (except Vanitas in neverland) & this was on critical mind you

Edit: i actually found Terra's story pretty difficult

When they say she's a mage specialist, they ain't joking. You need to stack up on magic commands and get used to using them more often than X combos.

Later on though you can do whatever, it's just more important in the beginning.

Also D-Links are much more useful in the beginning so use them often(using them also heals you entirely).

I had trouble using Aqua's D-links because the ones I used didn't have commands for healing yourself (I mainly used the Ven D-Link)

Ven and Terra both get healing spells on their second items (Cura and Cure respectively), I think.

Starting off Aqua's story is painful, because there's only three command slots and her lower strength is really noticeable at the beginning of the game when even a few points of strength doubles the character's effectiveness.

Once you get to around lvl 9, though, it's not that important because the stats are high enough that the few points of strength she's missing aren't as important (and, in any case, raising levels is really easy in Birth by Sleep XD).

the only time i had a problem with aqua was at the start due to her being weakest but after a bit of grinding it was no longer evident for me.

Aqua had the hardest storymode but just keep trying. Though if you get pewned by some unversed on RG you don't want to know what awaits you right before you leave that place

yeah, i though aqua's story was harder too. but alot of the time in her story, i just wanted to get through it, so i never took the time to level up. so i was on my third world and i was dieing in two hits! with the previous boss battles, i just dodged a lot!

People think its harder because they try to use her like Terra. Aqua is a mage. Any MMO player knows mages are squishy. You aren't supposed to head in recklessly. Just use Magic commands and guard and dodge a lot.

Hell to add further on what Ulti said, she's by far the easiest person to beat MF with even if he strength is lower than Terra's she got the best guard in the game coupled with cartwheel roll which makes her evasion far better than the other 2.

Aqua was hard for me in the first few worlds (playing on proud, esp castle of dreams), but before i went to radiant garden i just leveled up to about 20, and got 3 hp boosts second chance and once more and it was a breeze. I may have over leveled because when I found vanitas at Neverland i did one Prism Rain and took him out after it finished (i just stared at my screen for a sec to see if I wasnt dreaming).

But just train in the worlds (mirage arena), and make sure to make good commands with good abilities like second chance, once more, attack and magic haste, and hp boost (combo pluses are great too). Command Board is your friend.

...maybe part of the reason I found her so easy to get used to is that I never found running in recklessly to be a good idea even as Terra. xD

(Then again, I always tend towards ranged magic in ARPGs when given a choice, anyway - in Crisis Core, I ended up abandoning Strength altogether, and that game actually had MP XD)

Personally I didn't find Aqua all that difficult to use but maybe that's because I decided to use her first and wasn't already accustumed to Ven and Terra's styles. As Ulti said, Aqua'a a mage. Most of her strength lies in magic and agility so rushing in and attacking isn't always the best idea. You have to spam the square button and fill her commands with magic.

Aqua story in critical mode have 2 dificults parts. One in radiant garden and the other in neverland. i finish thouse worlds in lvl 14 and 23 so i sugest to train at least untill you have thouse lvls.
Each character have dificult parts for example terra final boss is a beach, and final boss of Ven is treaky.
With aqua you will have more dificult in the walkthroghs but the boses are not that complicated.

In your thoughts
In my opinion i would say Aqua was the easiest out of the three.Even in proud she was the last character I used and I didnt have a problem switching styles of fight at all.I would say Terra's was the hardest but that could have been because he was the first one i tried.

Somewhere of course.
Decided to step up to proud for Aqua, and yeah I am already sorta stuggling at Castle of Dreams lol. She is pretty weak, but it not that bad, it just that she requires more patience (and again it could be the fact that went from standard to proud too:tongue:)
