Whoever wants a piece of me, come and get it. You've got first post.

Name-
Chaos Episkey

Age-
17 years of age. His appearance often suggests an older age.

Appearance-
Chaos is about 5'11", some 164 pounds, and he always stands with a slouch. You could generally see a calm face and demeanor to Chaos. He always has black clothes on, with Ethies or Vans on. They allow him to run quickly, and move on he spot... Necessary assets for a man on the run. He has straight, shoulder-length black hair with long bangs that cover his eyes. Over those eyes, a pair of glasses. He has a lanky look about him, one that shows that he's rather lazy and looks like he couldn't move all that fast, but looks can be deceiving. In all honesty, he doesn't look all that formidable.

Most notable, however, were his eyes. They were steely gray, a sort of bluish hue to it, a cold look always in them. They were entrancing eyes; look directly into them, you might find yourself at a loss for thought, words, even sound. His eyes appear to create a world of their own, in which those caught looking too long are brought in with a tentacle-like force, a mesmerizing look to his eyes which seemed to mystify everyone and anyone.

Oh, yes, and he also has a set of jet-black wings on his back. But more on that later.

Weapons-
Many odd weapons here and there- several Kunai, maybe a shuriken here and there... He doesn't rely on weapons too much. He does, however, keep a sheathed blade with him. It is about three and a half feet long, a slim blade with a short hilt.

Abilities-
Chaos doesn't like to constrict himself to abilities, since his primary ability allows for a great deal of improvisation. However, a basic rundown of his abilities should suffice.

instantkarma- This would be an ability which allows Chaos to retain any injury he sustains, and reflect it twofold at his opponent. It is generally useful, but not used very often. Chaos doesn't like getting hit.

bakuretsutenshi- Otherwise known as Burst Angel, he soars into the air, and forms a sort of shield around himself with his... Power. What happens after this, though, is a surprise.

intelligentdesign- Chaos is rather smart. Okay, understatement. He's brilliant. That goes with saying that he can make light of most situations that he is in, and manage to turn the tables a bit.

spacialrend- Chaos can, using his control of spirit energy, warp space itself to suit his own personal gain. This includes, among other things, allowing his to transport himself to another spot, open rifts into another dimension, and warp other person's perception of reality.

temporalrend- This move is a complicated move. Basically, Chaos can freeze time, or render time useless for a certain period, to allow him to do whatever he wishes at no consequence to himself. Effectively, it freezes time and the others around him. He can, however, choose to spare certain individuals of it's effects.

spiritmancing- Chaos' main power. He can take the essence of Spirit energy, and transmit and mend it for his personal gain. He can also extract Spirit Energy from his surroundings, but he wouldn't dare steal Spirit energy from his opponents.

He has many more tricks up his sleeve, though...

The sun was bright in the sky today. It hung in the heavens like a golden ornament, strung up by an invisible string on the décor of the great sapphire blanket known as the sky. It was a beautiful day, with very few clouds in the sky, and the slight whiteness of the moon peeking through the shadow of its own invisibility. The sun overpowered any shine it might have cast upon the Earth though, and any of the hustling people passing by on the ground would not have noticed its silver sheen hiding shyly in the midst of the great blue heavens. They were far too preoccupied with various things… A pair of elderly women was talking quietly about a few handbags they had seen in a store behind them. A party of teenage boys was skateboarding loudly through the empty streets, the wheels of their wooden boards rolling smoothly over the ebony black asphalt, producing smooth, grinding noise which commingled nicely with the giggles of the group of girls following them. A young mother and her child were walking as well, and as they passed a small chocolate store, the young boy pointed at a large bar of chocolate on display in the front window. The mother simply smiled, pulling the child along as she instead led him to a small deli that stood next to it. A radio warbled on through a café door, rattling off the news and the weather in the dull heat of the afternoon. The heat was moderate, hot enough to cause many to remove their outer clothes, but not irregular for late spring…

A single man was walking down the sidewalk, his feet slapping dully against the grey sidewalk as his blue jeans swished as they passed each other with every step. A simple white undershirt graced his upper body, revealing a not so ripped physique, one that showed regular exercise, but the comforts and easiness of a lazy Sunday afternoon. His arms were covered by a light blue long sleeve, which was unbuttoned in the heat of the day, allowing the ends of it to trail aimlessly in the light breeze that waved its way through the road. His eyes were languid and restless, wandering easily from shop to shop, from person to person, from chocolate to sandwich. They were a startling blue, but that was his only remarkable feature. His face was handsome enough, but the wedding ring encircling his finger was a bold enough statement to dispel any women that might have glanced his way. He didn’t mind though. He had been married to his wife so long, that no longer to he pine for any of the old, promiscuous ways of his teenager years. He was content now to go get a sandwich for lunch…

Carmen was still at work, so he had some time to go pick up some lunch. Walking down the street, he turned into a small café, the one that had been playing the radio softly in the background. And now back to Andrea Bocelli, said a monotone, calming voice, and the deep opera singing of an Italian wonder graced the confines of the small café. The man got to the front counter, and an older gentleman, clad in a dirty apron and a fade black T-shirt, greeted him with a grin.

“Evan Lasting, it’s sure been a while,” he said, reaching out a large, thick fingered hand to grasp Evan’s in a large grip, “Looking for a place to hide from the wife’s tirade?”

“No, it’s not that time of the month yet,” joked Evan easily, and they both let out a chuckle as the radio’s signal faded in and out slightly, “I think it’ll be the usual though.”

“Chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, onion, on an onion bagel, no mayo?” recited the man from memory, tapping his forehead and giving a small yawn, “I’ll get right on it buddy. Just take a seat and enjoy the music.” Evan nodded easily as the man went into the back to prepare his food. He spotted an empty seat by the window, and easily sat down upon it, drawing back the chair so that he could stare up at the sky from where he easily leaned back… Now this was great… Normal… Just normal… For once, no scientists knocking on his door, no NSA calling up on his wife, and no damn psycho’s running after him to test his… condition… Just him, and a juicy chicken sandwich… His mouth watered slightly, and his blinked, glancing around to gaze up at the blue sky above him… It seemed so vast…. It was strange to glance at the sky sometimes… Just to think that that thing went on forever, and forever, and forever, was just mind boggling…

Flap. Flap. Flap.

The sky was exquisite today. Perfectly serene, barely any clouds in the sky, the cold brisk atmospheric air flowing though the man's hair. His ears. His wings. Chaos flapped his wings again, and outstretched them, allowing the updrafts to take him wherever they needed. It was a good time. He couldn't have been more relaxed at that moment.

That is, until the freakin' weather started acting up.

All of a sudden, the winds picked up. They began battering Chaos from all sides, forcing him to struggle for control. He was literally sideways, trying to upright himself, when he saw a flash, followed by a crack. Lighting; not good for Chaos. He straightened himself, and streamlined his body. Flapping his wings once, he accelerated much faster than the speed he was going. He was a few seconds in when another flash sprang out at Chaos. It was much too fast for Chaos to avoid. He was hit by the lightning.

Immediately, his muscles tightened up. He couldn't even flap his wings. Thus, he began in a straight dive bomb for the earth. His fall continued until terra firma came into sight. It appeared to be a city. As he neared the city, he could barely see a man on in the street, munching on a sandwich. However, Chaos was headed directly for him. Chaos did the only thing he saw available to him at the moment- he wrapped himself in a skintight shield of Spirit Energy. It would shield him from the impact; it would, however, rip right through the man that Chaos was about to him. Chaos was literally feet away when he held his breath. This is gonna suck...

“And here you go,” said the man behind the counter, handing him the still hot package and taking sliding his money into the register, “You better hurry home, I heard some thunder high in the sky…”

“Really? It was really nice a second ago,” replied Evan, taking his sandwich, and nodding to the man as he began to walk away from the counter, his feet slapping loud quick smacks against his wooden floorboards. The door opened with a small jingle, and as Evan glanced up into the previously blue sky, he knew that his old friend Bill had spoken the truth… It wasn’t raining, and there wasn’t a thunderstorm, but there were some definitely strange wind patterns, and bolts of lightning flashing up in the afternoon sky. He could hear their cracks lashing out in fury amongst the heavens, and as he gazed up into the chaotic skies, he marveled at the fact that the storm seemed to be higher up then usual. Like it was in the atmosphere rather then closer to earth… Weird… He had better get home before it gets worse…

However, fate would not allow that this day. If Evan believed in fate, he might have acknowledged that as time and time again, his plans for normality were thwarted by the abnormal… As he gazed up at the discord above him, a single pinprick of brightness suddenly appeared. It was small at first, and Evan could have easily mistaken it for a wayward plane, but as the light shone brighter and brighter, Evan’s eyes widened as he realized the reason why… It was coming closer… However, before he could even open his mouth, let out a scream to alert the others to the coming danger, the thing shot down, and in a flash of blazing light, he felt the object smash into his body.

Or rather, he simply was smashed into the ground. He felt the red hot pain splashing out across his chest, and he was slammed into the concrete of the sidewalk, causing it to splinter and crash underneath him as he was pummeled into the ground beneath him. He would have groaned, but all the wind had been knocked out of him, and even as he lay there, unable to move, unable to breathe, he felt the agony quickly becoming a simple, warm numbness. He moved experimentally, and found that he could move, and breathe again. He slowly sat up, his hands pushing him upward as he gazed upon whatever had hit him. He was sitting in a twenty foot crater of broken sidewalk. The window of the small café had been shattered by the impact, and everyone who had been laughing about the streets were now whispering, and pointing, staring at the man who was lying in the middle of this pit. Evan groaned, slowly pushing himself upright, so that he was standing shakily on both his legs… His clothes were torn, ripped utterly to shreds so that he was clad in the skeletal remnants of what had formerly been a nice set of clothes. He groaned, staring down at the rags hanging off his otherwise unharmed body. He never got to have a normal day…

Bill had come running out of the store, holding a large shotgun in one hand. “What the hell happened Evan?” he asked incredulously, staring from his tattered friend to the crater he was standing in, “My damn front window has been shattered!” Evan glanced down into the center of the crater. There was a figure there… Something else that had not been there before… It looked like… a man? However, there was obviously something different about this man. Just like Evan, he was also unharmed. On his back though, protruded a pair of large, heavenly wings… Oh damn it… This day was about to get weirder…

“Try and get everyone away…” whispered Evan, eying the figure that had apparently fallen from the sky, “Don’t let them panic, and keep them away from the crater… Don’t come near it yourself. You know what they say about dangerous chemicals in asteroids and crap…”

“Yeah, yeah,” replied Bill, taking Evan’s advice and not looking into the crater, “I’ll go keep the people away until the police come.”

“Thanks,” he murmured slightly, stepping so that he walked slightly deeper into the crater. This one was deep, being about six feet down, and thankfully, this winged thing was concealed from the prying eyes from outside… What the hell was it? And why the hell did it come falling out of the sky?

“Hello?” he offered slowly, his eyes trying to discern something from the fallen creature’s eyes… And today he thought he was going have a normal day… “Unless you’re going to buy me a new chicken sandwich, can you explain who you are, and why you decided to blow a hole in the middle of Amherst?”
