KH has final fantasy characters in it but kh is also a completly different story from final fantasy. the final fantasy characters are just along for the ride

Don't try to relate the KH story to FF stories - there is no link.

Kingdom Hearts is like an alternate universe from Final Fantasy, so maybe in this alternate universe, Aeris ( Aerith, whatever) didn't die. That answer it?

She wasn't in the first game, so i doubt she'll be in this one.
