Do trophies stack?

I'm probably going to play through each game more than once anyway (some of those trophies look virtually impossible on Proud), but did the difficulty trophies stack?

Definitely not in the Japanese version, but we've yet to verify it for the localized version. Not really holding out on it though.

The lower difficulty trophies will probably be the last ones I get because of this... I hope they end up stacking in the english version, and that the japanese version gets an update (just so everything's fair)

I really hope that they stack in the english version, but I don't really have a problem with it.

I say it is a pretty good chance that they won't stack.
