I got to like six hundred thirty licks or something like that before I just ate it.
Actually, I found this website full of random facts. I think it takes about 1,256 licks. It could be wrong though.

well, there was this dude in colorado who did a study. He made a machine and a stand. The machine had a replica of a human tongue. it was coated in an acid that was at the same acidic level as saliva. This machine counted to I think it was........2,587 licks to get to the center.
OFGS!! Who would count that?...
I did this in Geometry class last year. I don't know why we did, though. It took me over 1300 licks to get to the center. My tongue was sore after I was finished.
