Spoiler ShowSquare Enix, the publisher of the upcoming “Kingdom Hearts 3,” has provided another short development update for “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix.” According to a report from VG247 on April 9, Shinji Hashimoto confirmed that the development for the new cut scenes is almost finished. Square Enix decided to add additional cinematic events to the compilation to better flesh out the plot.
The new cut scenes will be included in “Kingdom Hearts Re:coded” and should connect the story from the Nintendo DS game to “Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.” Although the latter title is considered important to the overall story of the series, the handheld video game won’t be part of the new compilation. Instead, “Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance” is most likely remaining exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS.
The publisher also stated that the production for the entire project should be nearing its end. Along with the aforesaid cinematic events, “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix” also comes with “Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix” and “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix.” North American players never got to get their hands on the translated director’s cut version of both original games.
