^ Yet it's still selling =) very well in NA.
Can they not play American games on their European PS2's? Meh, guess not.
Iz not in the mood to debate with anyone today. The advertising was/ is peactically non exsistant here. I suggest they look in to other means in case NA decides to be asshoiles. :<^ Yet it's still selling =) very well in NA.

But, they couldve tried a little harder
Spoiler ShowSo let's start with me saying 'well, fawk'. KH fandom still burning brightly in my heart aside, I squeeked loudly and in a high-pitched voice when it played on the TV screen.
It was, truth be told, rather an experience, since not only did I cut open my brand new remote out of its impenetrable box for the sake of Re:CoM (bought it months ago, stalled opening it, Re:CoM got confirmed to an English release and thus it was put aside until the glorious day) but I also played in the living room since I'm home alone :3
I usually play using my pc's TV card, so needless to say - the quality's lacking.
This time it was on the big tv, so yey ^_^
Now being the truthful KH fanatic that I am, I (apparently needlessly) waited on the menu screen for the movie to start rolling. Turns out it was the opening movie given, so meh. Oh well.
What struck me as rather amusing was that they effectively summed up the plot of KH1 in five minutes. Awesome.
Then came the fact that the very last image we see in that clip is Sora and Kairi's hands as Sora is pulled away from her.
My well known and all but advertised dislike towards Kairi aside, being one that has already played the original CoM, I couldn't help but appreciate the symbolism behind it and the forthcoming events it warned us about. More so than just Naminé supposedly replacing Kairi in Sora's Memories (a notion that, had you read the SoNami part of the Essay, easily found here, you'd know I don't believe the least bit in), it's given the added bonus of Kairi standing on a patch of Destiny Island's beach. This ties in with something they went half-assedly about in KH2 and had Kairi be the person that represented Home to both Sora and Riku. Sora being pulled away from Kairi who was effectively already standing back on DI means not only that Naminé "snatched" Sora away from Kairi - but also from everything and everyone he ever knew, which is precisely what happened there.
Being one that already reads too deeply into things, I couldn't help but appreciate that picture to be the last thing we saw in the opening movie.
Another thing I liked greatly was that in the KH1-sum up, they failed not to display locking Riku up behind the door. I guess that helped me notice exactly how PMSy Sora seemed right off the start of CoM, something I never truly noticed in the GBA version. And it really makes sense - arguably no more than a week had passed since he himself locked Riku up behind the Door, and the shit hit the fan once more when they came to where they all believed they'd find both Riku and the king.
Oh, Watanabe-written Sora, how I missed you <3
To top it all, I'm fairly certain this was my eyes playing tricks on me or my tv dying, but I could swear that after their hands parted, Kairi, for a brief instant, flashed to being Naminé. I could swear her clothes turned white and her hair blonde. Probably wishful thinking on my part though and the fact I'm sleep deprived XD
A general notion that needs to be said -
Thank you Skip Scene.
I mean, seriously. With the amount of times I can see myself dying, it's a god-send.
Moving on with the actual game, I must say I'm undecided about how I feel about Marluxia's voice. Time will tell I suppose.
Seeing it on a big tv, I was hit by how ugly Castle Oblivion is.
Sora-fangirl moment:
Sora's ass is less round and noticable than it was in KH1. I was greatly saddened by that notion.
Also, hearing KH2 Sora's voice on KH1 Sora's sprite would take some serious getting used to. On the plus side I'm half certain Haley's gotten better at voice-acting.
More on the notion of the PMSy Sora was the fact he attacked Marluxia from behind. While Marluxia "attacked" first when he passed through Sora and sampled his Memories, it still really struck me as all but awe-inspiring that Sora not only instantly jumped at him with Keyblade drawn, but also did so with the man's back turned to him.
I so love CoM's Sora, and Re:CoM's Sora even thus far seems to be rather a promising character.
Also plus - Sora has more expressions.
One thing I'm curious about now more than ever is Sora's necklace. It's not only etched onto both the Kingdom Key and the Inverted Kingdom Key, Sora also stood in the middle of a glowing pattern like that in KH2 when he opened the roads between the worlds.
Then Roxas drew it as the third symbol along with the Heartless and Nobody's crests in the mansion in TLTW.
And now - it's etched onto every single door in the floors in Castle Oblivion.
Joy.
And of course, SoNami rant. Anyone who - again - read the Essay, knows my stand about the amount of interaction SoNami have through the game.
That is to say - a lot.
I just noticed how not only Aerith's mysterious words towards the end of Traverse Town, but the world as a whole serve that notion.
Sora's "remembering" for Aerith, Leon and Yuffie - is the equavilant of Naminé "remembering" for him their childhood Memories.
Aerith: I'm just an illusion...
Sora: Don't say stuff like that; it's depressing.
Replace "Aerith" with "Naminé" and I wanna see you dare telling me it doesn't work. Because it does, perfectly so.
I so love CoM, and Re:CoM is not only reminding me of why, but also improving it, even if by the small things.
On that final notion:
"Well, whaddaya know, it's Sora! ...wait, I don't know you."
