Local bands are usually bands that are just starting out. You dont start touring all over right after you start a band. First you gain fans around you then you slowly try to spread your fans out.

Agreed.
Abel obviously doesn't know much about how bands work. There are a lot of shitty bands in the mainstream, as is obvious; and there are a lot of great bands that haven't been noticed yet.
Theres this "slipknot"-ish band called "A.I." and I'm accuainted with the singer.
Local bands around here pwn. I like local more than big time, probably cuz I'm too hardcore for the mainstream anymore. haha.
