anyone else wondering how the organization members chose their elements? maybe some of you have and have theories. if so, i wanna hear 'em. o, and if you were a character, which element would you choose and y?

I think they got their elements from the way they were.
Axel was a pyro manic and like cacth phrases and was goth(you can easily see him in makup)
zexion liked books and was boring
larxene like sticking forks into outlets and was a bitch
leaxuas was a construction worker and a bodybuilder
murlixia was gay
xaladin was a skydiver
vexen was a researcher on how to fortify things
roxas is sora
xemnas is everything
deymx was a rocker(a bad one)
xigbar was in the army/surfer/paintball tennager
siax liked big weapons and had anger issues
luxord was a blackjack dealer

Or maybe it has something to do with what they were doing or what they had beffore their hearts were devoured.
For example: Sora had a keyblade that unlocked peoples hearts and used it on himself. So roxas has a dark keyblade (oblivion) and a light one (oathkeeper) they are two sides to a heart.

Seriously though, obvious character hating aside. I think they had their abilities before hand. I used to think that they got them after either becoming a Nobody, or from Xemnas. But they must've had then before, because not all Nobodies have powers like that...
...but the question is, if they did have them before - and this goes for the original six - did they hide their powers? Or did they gain them through some sort of experiment? Did it happen after giving their hearts to the darkness?
I'd pick Lunar btw. I've always loved the moon, and gaining power from it and going all psyco on some asses would be badass.

liso. When i read your post i had thought about a possibility of the orginal 6 beining nobodies before all of this. Maybe they were working with ansem to understand the heart more. IDK.

Well maybe they didn't choose their elements it just comes with the "Nobody" package i mean people don't choose what kind of heartless they become it just happens. And i would probably choose....Memory or water in spite of the fact that i h8 Demyx

I think xigbar is gravity since he just floats there shooting at you,saix must have been a werewolf in his human form because of the face scars and the moon,since marluxias element is spring,that still supports my gay threoy,ice and water are the same thing so i guess they ran out of elements,deymx must have been a really bad guitar hero nerd(which explains his hatred of fighting and well...crappyness)
