Riku and Sora are pretty much equal in my opinion. Yeah, Riku is a Keyblade Master, but Sora is at least Master level as well. Riku is physically stronger with stronger darkness. Sora is faster and has stronger light magic. They reflect each other pretty well as best friends should.
