Went back and edited my post, but 2005 for Japan, 2006 for all other regions, referring to KH2.

I mean that's fine if you liked them. Personally, they felt out of place for me. Maybe they could've made it work if the writing was better, but I'd take both Port Royal and Tron over SW and Marvel any day, so at least we agree on that, lol.

I prefer Twilight Town's severe lack of NPCs in KH2. I think it properly gives off the feeling of a sleepy little town in the dead of summer whose residents have either gone away on vacation or started settling down at home as the evening sets in. It's nostalgic as hell and I love it.

KH2 Twilight Town definitely has its own vibe that struck me deeper than what they did in KH3. That sleepy town feeling resonates hardcore.
Architecturally, however... Twilight Town is pretty huge, sprawling, has heaps of large buildings and a busy train station. I know KH is fantasy but it is a bit confusing for a sleepy little town to look like an ocean of buildings when seen from above lmao
Alternate interpretation; the part the player stays in is a sleepy little suburb of the town.

In their defense, most people didn’t even know the name came from a flower. I think the Kingdom Hearts character was the first time they encountered that name.
The only reason I know how to properly pronounce it was because of Darling in the FranXX, and I hate that anime.
Hopefully KH4 will clear up confusions, though.

We need more people like Mistress Dove who appreciate Kairi for who she is rather than criticizing her for what she’s not.
The KH3 rendition of Dearly Beloved is honestly one of the weaker ones for me.
I feel like the DIsney villains should be plot relevant again.
mysteries, secret identities, misdirections, and plot twists are boring and have too often taken center stage instead of character relationships, emotional beats, and action led storytelling
My favourite scene in KH3 is Axel flashing back for a second to Xion when looking at Kairi, dropping the ice cream and starting to cry, but not being sure why.
That is to say, I agree, and I think the series it's at it's best when it combines its metaphysics with how this affects the characters.
I feel like The Master of Masters is not gonna be as good as Xehanort at being the main OC antagonist for the next saga.
Well here's an unpopular opinion off the back of that one - I don't think Master Xehanort was a good villain

I think people really overstate the significance of Fairy Godmother being able to go to the Final World. Like, it's really not that hard... Sora does it while sleeping in the opening of the game. It's not really that closed off or hard to reach, and someone with the power over dreams being able to easily traverse a realm heavily connected to sleep just kinda makes sense.
I wouldn't be surprised seeing Maleficent doing the same thing.

I actually adore Fairy Godmother being able to do this, she has a much nicer presence than Yen Sid and it's nice that she was able to do something that Yen Sid couldn't. She's a more iconic character, and I liked that she fully endorsed Riku to take action rather than regrouping at Wizard Headquarters.
I only wish she'd been around a little more, but I'm sure she spent KH2 back in Castle of Dreams. There's something silly and memetic about her sudden reappearance and ability to do EXACTLY what the plot needs to move into the next saga, but... that's very Disney! That's very Cinderella! Magical character appearing out of happenstance to make a dream literally come true! I should expect nothing less.
