It seems that 2018 will continue to be a merchandise heavy year for Kingdom Hearts. Square-Enix just listed two sets of Kingdom Hearts silver earrings in their store as SE Shop Exclusives.

 

These earrings, originally released in a limited run in 2011 are now returning for a rerelease this year.

The first set is inspired by Sora and features his crown insignia necklace as the charm on the earring.

The second set is inspired by Roxas and features his Organization XIII X zipper as the charm on the earring.

Both sets of earrings are made from 925 sterling silver, weigh 7 grams, and are listed at 9720 Yen ($87.38 USD) and are set to be released on May 27th.

Oh that's cool, a biiit too expensive, but still cool. I'd be worried about them getting caught on stuff though, especially that crown looks like it definitely would.

I don't care about jewelry so these don't appeal to me to buy them but I find them nice
SE really has a thing for releasing silver game-related jewelry, if anything I would love to have Luna's pendant

The price makes me wonder how much they originally cost back in 2011. I couldn't see these being sold for more, but surely they didn't resell them at the same rate as 7 years ago..

Maybe it went down like this.

SE Executive: Alright, numbered title coming out this year! Open up that warehouse of random things we couldn't sell and put them up on our store.

SE Employee: Okay, should I put a 20% disco-

SE Executive: What!? The hype is overwhelming for KH3. Heck, we could probably charge 20% more!

SE Employee: Are you insane!? Why would you even think that?

SE Executive: Have you even seen how many remixes these people buy? What's the difference if we slap a crown or heart on low percentages of precious metals and market it as KH merchandise?
