Very tempted to download it but the whole tag scene seems to be taking way too much influence from that place. Everything is beginning to look exactly the same.

Styles always rotate and change, it is not necessarily a bad thing.

It is when everyone is doing the same thing. It shows a lack of creativity which is what the art world thrives on.

I am kind of on Clouds side with this one, cause that one person who shows new forms of creativity is looked at as someone who is amazing. That works until everyone starts to copying the revolutionist stuff. Then the cycle starts again. That is why I miss Kam so much, she always brings new creativity.

I get that but the art world also thrives on ideas, styles, and concepts being recycled and reused. You think one person stuff is original and creative compared to another, heavens no. As quoted from Picasso himself, "Good Artists Borrow, Great Artists Steal" Why do you think we have art movements in the first place, because one person did something no one has seen at that time and everyone then takes that idea and concepts and adapts it. Look at Andy Warhol and the Pop Art movement, they all share commonality and ideas taken from one another. By doing so these artist create series of paintings and art work that in the end all have been classified as Pop Art because of the style and common features and attribute that they took from one another.

That is just my point of view, but again I do understand where you are coming from.

I didn't want this resource pack to cause this much drama. It wasn't my intention. If you really feel that this resource pack hinders your artistic need I'll take it down.

Creative Elegance will not be influencing anything or anyone near KHI ever again. If you want to download the resource pack feel free to join FFX or any of Creative Elegance's affiliates. Fragmented Memories being one of them. :)


But for the record, if you think creativity and originality are one in the same then you have something coming to you. There are 7.2 billion people on this planet and if you think that not one of those people talks like you, walks like, you thinks like you, or even draws like you then you've got another thing coming. Art isn't about originality. It's about expression and creation. Take pride in what you create, original or not. If you can't do even that, then you're also saying you don't respect art. I dare you to try and think of something original. I'm sure someone else has thought of whatever idea you think you own.

If this is the kind of attitude CE will get after our hard work and determination to give unseen new resources, then we won't be posting our packs near it. End of story. We spent an entire month not just gathering, but also MAKING these resources ourselves for YOU, and if all you're going to do is come here saying you won't download it and make a scene, then you've just lost the privilege of our resource packs.

You know jade, I really like you man and the stuff you put out is amazing. But please don't talk to us like we're lower than you are. That's just the feeling I got from your post. If you don't want to have it up anymore then please just take it down. That's that. But when you condescend on EVERYONE in this section its just a bad look on your part. And so what if some people don't like what you're giving to them? Its not the end of the world. As you said you and your team has worked on that pack for a month and trust me a small kingdom hearts graphics section isn't going to make it that much more pepular. And if we want to download it, we will. There's no way around that.

In essense it isn't a 'privilege' to use your resources. Its more of an opportunity to compare our work to other artists and in turn develop techniques that can help us any way possible. Heck if you aren't willing to share, there are MANY other forums we can get resources from (I.e. PR, Tagmonkeys, gfxskool, etc). So please please please just don't talk down to us. That kind of stuff just really gets to me.

I think it's really sad that you feel it was necessary to deprive other members of the forum the chance to download your resource pack over a comment one person made. I'm not going to go back on what I said, but please don't take your hissy fit out on everyone else.

Cloud, I'm not going back on what I said either. Creative Elegance is a family. A family that worked hard. You didn't have to waltz in this topic just to say how unoriginal FFX is. Fringe is Creative Elegance's home and it was really insulting and a smack in the face to have you say what you did. If you don't like the resources... Don't download them. End of story. You didn't need to give your super special opinion on art and what makes what original.

Don't twist what I said around into a hissy fit. If you want to get your resources elsewhere... Fine. I'm not putting CE's pack up here again, or any future Creative Elegance pack up. Especially if the responses I get further insults me, and Creative Elegance. You really think reply and making an even bigger deal out of this is going to change my mind?

Say sorry. Then I'll think about putting the pack up. If not... Consider this my big f uck you.
