PS2 Memory card doesn't work...

Yeah, I put it in my ps2 and the memory card doesn't get read.

I was gonna buy a new one, but first, I have some questions...

1.Can anyone tell me what's wrong?
2.If you can't tell me what's wrong, is there a way to copy my data from my memory card to a new memory card? Even though it isn't read on the ps2?

I need help guys, I had 20+ gamesaves on there...

I'm sorry dude but I don't have any advice. I don't know why it would do that. The only thing I can think of is try it on another PS2 (if you can). If it works on another PS2 you can transfer the data to another, I think.

So if that doesn't work you'll just have to buy a new one, sorry.

First, make sure the disc is out (doesnt seem important, but it is).

Second, try it on another PS2.

Third, save up for another memory card or beg your parents.

You probably put it in the slot to roughly, or very often.

Maybe use a dust remover in the card slot and the memory card itself?

Other than that, it's probably just worn out.
You'll need a new one.

It has happened to me a couple oftimes too, but when it happens I'm trying to remove some dust and inserting the memory card again to see if it works. If it doesn't work, I'm trying again and again until it will work. You can try to do that. But if you have tried several times and it still doesn't work, I can't help you
