It is possible that Ven chose Sora to wield a different keyblade, but since Ven was erased the keyblade didn't get passed on. However, keyblades have never been shown to pass on memories (like you insinuate the KK does).

Actually, about the Kairi-Aqua connection...

Riku only gave Kairi that Keyblade because a bunch of Shadows (more like Gigant Shadows to me) trapped Sora, so she would save him. As would Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness say: "A meaningless effort." Kairi completely failed to fight, so Sora had to escape, feeling forced to save Kairi.

TRANSLATION:

Riku only handed the Keyblade to her so she could save Sora from the (Gigant?) Shadows, he didn't hand it over to her for permanent use. That means, that Keyblade still belongs to Riku! So...

Aqua has absolutely no connection to Kairi! =D

Why is people leaving Aqua out of the SKR trio? It could always be that Terra has no connection to Riku (other than giving him the KK in the past), hence Vanitas' connection to Riku. As I've seen, Terra isn't like Riku in anyway. Terra doesn't want to use Darkness, unless it's necessary, yet in KH1, Riku let the Darkness enter his Heart by himself to leave the islands.
So yeah, Aqua > Kairi is still possible =/

As I've seen, Terra isn't like Riku in anyway. Terra doesn't want to use Darkness, unless it's necessary, yet in KH1, Riku let the Darkness enter his Heart by himself to leave the islands.

Well one the connection I see with Aqua and SRK is the lucky charm and their friendship together.

Well if that's the case maybe Aqua had a closer friendship with Ven then she did with Terra and somehow Ven trusted Sora to become the next keyblade master. Seeing how Terra already chose and maybe Aqua didn't have someone to choose so chose the person Ven would've. If we follow Lenexa's theory, instead of Ven's connection choosing Sora, it was Aqua's. When Roxas was formed, he took the form of the strongest memory of Aqua's which might be Ven like how Namine was formed. She was formed by Sora's sterongest memories which is of Kairi.

Does that make sense?? I'm not sure if Aqua liking Ven is true. I'm not into BBS. So far I'm only in Days. Akuroku is more important than some friendship thing to me.

Not really, but I've managed to make some sense of it. The main problem with it is that TAV appears to have a sibling relationship, so the love thing is questionable. I've read many other theories, so I'm not saying it's impossible or unheard of. Another problem is that I don't see Ven going to DI and choosing a future wielder if he's so worried about Terra in the game.

It's mainly because we can assume that Terra was choosing Riku to be the next wielder, but at least he knows of their existence. Nomura stated that Ven has a connection with Sora. We don't know how, but he does. So that leaves Aqua as the one who has no connection with SRK.

Like what oathkeeperriku09 said, I only see the seashell charms as a possible connection. I don't include their friendship because Kairi is biased.
