OOC: Okay, let's see if I can get this to come out right. Please, you gotta play this song, it fits really well with Kisara's actions.
You Can't Take Me
IC:
"Please tell me that I'm not too late for the scholarship meeting!"
Turning slightly to look over her shoulder, Kisara's eyes landed on a kid about her age with a messy thatch of brunnette hair. Shrugging her shoulders slightly as she pulled off her bike gloves, Kisara replied, "I don't think so; but you'd better hurry, or you will be."
“If she was on the list, it’s fine. Take her to where the other students currently are and help her get ready, after all the more the merry. Miss Phoenixe, I’m glad that you were able to make it today but if we would excuse me I need to take care of a few things.”
Musing on those words as she put the gloves in her pocket, Kisara unzipped her jacket, exposing the soft cotton of her dark blue tee. Glancing at the woman that was leading her, Kisara shoved back a growing feeling of suspicion; she hated that it was one of her defenses, but Kisara's instincts were making her feel uneasy.
Stopping in front of a door, the woman turned to look at Kisara as she said in a clipped tone, "Right through this door please, sir and miss. We will be with you shortly."
Stepping through, Kisara felt her insides turn to ice as she saw the other students. It was quite clear that they had been given some sort of drug; a small, thick blue puddle confirmed that fact. Suddenly putting two and two together Kisara shouted, "No way!" just as two doctors came toward her from the front and another approached from behind.
Spinning quickly, Kisara thrust her leg out, her booted heel catching one of the men in the stomach. Feeling one of the remaining two grab her arm, the girl hit him on the side of the jaw; she felt his grip go slack as the man slumped to the ground; she'd knocked him out cold.
Distracted by the first two, Kisara didn't have time to react as the third one twisted her arms behind her back. Wrapping his free hand in front of her chest, the doctor pulled her close against him and hissed in her ear, "Quit fighting, little minx. You don't wamt to lose that sholarship, do you?"
Trying her best to kick him, Kisara nearly shrieked, "Forget it! No sholarship's worth being used as a lab rat!"
Not bothering to deny it, the doctor tightend his grip on her arms, causing a slight yelp to escape Kisara. "Worth it or not, kiddo, a lab rat is presicly what you are." Looking over her head, he shouted, "Mark, get me some of that sedative, now!"
Still fighting him, Kisara managed to slip her left leg behind his knee; jerking her leg forward, she knocked the doctor off balance, which allowed her to get away from him. Spinning away, she tried to run for the door; but then she felt a sharp, stabbing pain, then a sensation of coldness spreading from her right shoulder. Glancing behind her, Kisara saw a hypodermic needle sticking through her jacket; there was a small amount of the blue liquid still in the needle.
Feeling the effects of the sedative almost immidiatily, Kisara dropped to her knees as Mark pulled the needle out of her jacket. Walking around in front of her, she watched as he quickly rumaged through her bag; her head going fuzzy, she saw him take out the letter and burn it with a cigarette lighter.
“The test is a success. Let’s see how long she last or any of them for that matter.”
Having gotten back to his feet, the third doctor snapped quickly, "Then get this one in and fast."
Barely awake now, Kisara felt someone lift her roughly and carry her into another room. Looking around, Kisara could just make out the word "Genesis" where she had been set down. Managing a woozy glare, Kisara shot the doctor a look that should have cut him into a million pieces. Then, she was gone.
