I beat it on proud mode, and believe me. You won't beat it with lvl 10, not even if you were the skillest player ever. My advice lvl up a little, forget magic it's pretty much useless against it [unless you have thundaga].

Easy, when you break a section of his tail, fly the as closest to the ocean as you can, look at the map constantly and try to go in the opposite direction he is gonna go. What lvl are you on?
