I watched the first film recently and was pretty shocked at how much I enjoyed it. These kinds of movies always look (and almost always turn out to be) awful. It'll be interesting to see if they can keep that going with a sequel.

Just finished the Knuckles series.

Episodes 3 and 4 were definitely the strongest of the bunch; a lighthearted and wholesome family dinner piece in the former, and the absolute insanity in the latter.

I've heard that while the series is funny, it's not a particularly good adaptation. Do you agree with that?

Pretty much. Episode 4 is the only real standout if you're looking for any incorporation of actual Sonic lore. Otherwise they don't even bother making fun nods like the movies do, despite the potential for such nods being offered to them on a silver platter.

I mean, the show's final destination is a casino; did it seriously not occur to them to name it Casino Night or Casinopolis??

EDIT: the last episode also has a throwaway line that may or may not be setting up something for Sonic 3.
