"Raxacori- Oh, nevermind you wouldn't understand anyway."Which one(s)? I got the 'bigger on the inside than the outside' one but...
Cause you don't find out that he still trains Eragon and Saphira till later in the book. How's that a spoiler? We've known about him being in there since the end of Brisingr.

Anyones thoughts on the Dragon pact being adjusted to include Urgals and Dwarves?
I suspected it was going to happen but it still seemed a little surprising. I'm a bit iffy on the Urgal parts though. I can see some Urgal in the future takign advantage of his dragon-rider-ness and causing wars/turmoil. Wonder why they didn't include Werecats. I mean, they already where pretty close to Dragons. Maybe it'd be weird for a Cat to ride a Dragom though. Hmm.
Spoiler ShowI predicted the Dwarves thing but the whole 'Urgals as Riders' thing to solve that problem I didn't see it but it was obvious. Smack in the forehead moment right there. Also, because there wasn't a need nor desire for a Werecat pact nor are they the most socially inclined creatures so...
Spoiler ShowI don't think that it would matter if an Urgal dragon rider did try to rebel, because he would have the other three races against him. And yeah, Werecats aren't really a unified race, they came together to help end the war but past that it seems that they mostly stick to themselves.

Spoiler ShowGalby brought Alegasia to it's knees with only 13 Dragon Riders, if anything a rouge Dragon Rider is very serious business. Which is another thing how is this supposed to stop another Galbatorix from rising up? All Eragon did was reestablish the old order with a few tweaks.

Spoiler ShowAt this point in time, even with the few dragon riders that are around, a rogue wouldn't be much of a threat. The fact that Urgals, Dwarves, and Humans have very little experience with magic (at least, in comparison with the elves), so the worst thing that could happen would be a rogue elf. But even then, the old order was very different than the new one. Even if you say that the only difference is that Galbotorix had already rebelled/died, we see in many accounts that the elders could have stopped Galbatorix, but didn't consider him a threat. Now, however, a rogue rider would be shut down very quickly. Especially considering Murtagh/Eragon know "the Word," it wouldn't be very difficult to stop a rebel.
Also, the new order doesn't have anywhere close to the experience the old one did, so (as of now) there's very little power to be gained. Eragon is probably the most knowledgeable rider, and he's less than twenty years old.

Spoiler ShowWell yeah as of now there won't be another rouge Dragon Rider but once Eragon, Murtagh, and Arya pass into the void what to it from happening? What's to stop the elders of the future from getting "lazy" again? It seems a short term solution at best it seems sensible to implement an organazation to oversee the Dragon Riders so something like Galbatorix doesn't happen again

That's what I was thinking too. I mean, yeah they have the word but they can;t live forever. Speaking of which, why did Eragon and Murtagh keep their knowledge of the word? I thought they;d do something similar to the Rock of Kuthian/Vault of Souls.
I'll try not to spoil it TOO much but The fourth Dragon really doesn't have that big a role in the books. Those of you who have already read ahead or even finished, it you must confirm this thought of mine, use spoiler tags (obviously) but don't expect me to reply to them until I've passed the point myself or finished the book.
Just read the bit where Murtagh kidnapped Nasuada, and I'm now almost completely convinced that the green dragon shall hatch for her. I've been wondering how the hell it'd hatch for Arya considering there are only like 500 pages left in the book. Granted, a lot can happen in that time, but by the time they reach Uru'baen and somehow gain access to the egg for it to hatch for Arya, I don't see it being of any consequence for the story. It won't have been around all that long and certainly won't grow to full-size. So I'm calling it; he's Nasuada's dragon, which I don't believe anyone was expecting, but I can see it working out. She is a strong individual. I'm still holding out for Arya since I absolutely adore her and I want the next rider to be an elf, but I'll have to wait and see.
I just finished reading it. I'm letting the ending sink in.
It's not what I wanted to happen... but it fits well.
I really want CP to write more.
And, I, now for some reason, really want more movies to happen (restarting with Eragon, of course). Some of the things in Book 4 really, in my opinion, be better to see in picture. Just need to get a better company to get a hold on the rights (Warner seems best).
Spoiler ShowJust finished the book. I was aready feeling extremely sad, and then Roran had to go and let out that cry....shit touched a nigga, hard. I don't see where you guys see the hint of another book though. I think this ending seems very final and I don't really care to read about Eragon and Saphira in a far off land raising the next generation of Riders. I foresaw the dwarves being included in the Riders, but not the Urgals. I'm sad that nothing is to become of Eragon and Arya, nor Murtagh and Nasuada (whom I was rooting for even more). I think Murtagh's ending is the only one I'm not all that satisfied with; he and Eragon said their goodbyes, but this was before Eragon made the decision to leave Alagaesia for good, and they seemed to have an understanding that Murtagh and Thorn would return someday in the future. I suppose it's possible the pair join the Riders outside of Alagaesia though. Just have to use my imagination on that front.
