Maybe that's because Kairi's fighting style won't include much swinging. She could adopt a style like Count Dooku from Star Wars, with more stabbing and fencing moves instead of swinging and hacking.

From all the battle stances though, Riku's, Terra's, Aqua's and Ventus' look like the most "comfortable".

I don't think this will be her final battle pose...I mean we only saw this frame for like 1 second. The producers probably just made her have any pose...or did they?

Imagine what they were thinking for Kairi's battle pose!

The main point of Dooku's style is only marginal swinging and hacking around but doing very precise and focused movements which also saves stamina, evident in how he beats both Obi-Wan and Anakin.

Such a style I could imagine would fit Kairi and it would be something new.

I highly doubt they put much thought into the pose besides the fact that she most likely will hold it with two hands, and I'm assuming they are saying it is heavy for her, which is why she holds it pointing downwards with both hands. Considering her hands are nearly completely extended I don't think she will be a fencing character either. For one, nobody fences with two hands, and for two, how can you fence when with your arms fully extended from the start. I think Kairi will honestly be a Donald (more magic-prone than he though), she'll cast magic with a little bit of hitting.

It looks like a style Kairi has to be particularly diligent in learning. It looks to me that it takes very quick movements and Kairi is...not.

Heheh, yep, in Star Wars lore, Count Dooku uses the "Makashi"-style which is very effective for sword fighting, but bad at deflecting balster bolts and it takes much effort to really master it. The movements have not only to be quick, but also very precise in order to get the best result out of it.
If mastered however, the style is very deadly.

As for Kairi, like the others said, I see her as a fencer like wielder, but I do believe magic will be her main point, but unlike Aqua, most of her unique commands are light-based (Ultima??)

Dead Fantasy isn't really the best example considering it is fan made, no offense to Montyoum because he is fantastic. Somebody's fan creation and the reality of the character in their respective series are completely different things.

I can say people who don't think Sora could be a total moe child haven't read fanfic before, but that has no bearing on the canon of the series.

I don't care if she's playable or not, as long as she doesn't get kidnapped early on, and the game becomes about saving her... again.

I really doubt she'll be kidnapped again, at least not focused on it. I mean I can imagine her fighting to defend herself, but loses and finds her way to escape or something.

I doubt this will happen. Why would Yen Sid someone with very little experience into the RoD to rescue someone who has been lost there for 12 years? I could maybe see it happening if Mickey and/or Riku went with her. I'm not a huge Kairi fan, but I do like the fact that she is going to get some more screen time and maybe some play time.

If sora is the jack of all stats and riku is the fast heavy hitter then what would kairi be. There is alot of assumption she must have alot of magic potential, whch is usualy true with most of square females.

I'd say anywhere between 2-4 years. It depends on how much Nomura has done on it (if anything), and if he still wants it on this generation. I'm assuming he probably does, hopefully it comes out for the 360. *runs before he gets flamed*

Side game seems very likely to me:

1. KH3 already has too many plot points to juggle
2. Kairi wouldn't be the sole playable character as Lea would be training too, giving the side-game extra content
3. The subject of their training is significant to be worth exploring but not exactly an absolute essential to show. Perfect for "side story" status
4. Nomura expressed interest in developing something for iOS. Granted it doesn't have to be a KH game but the possibility is there

Anyway, if we do play as kairi, what kind of keyblades do you expect her to have.
