Now, think about this one. What if Xehanort ISN't the last major antagonist in the series?
Imagine this, Braig. He could have been using MX, he IS the real starter of the organization and well... Not THAT exposed. It would be a pretty fair surprise.

Braig just seems to be a lackey for life. As for him using MX, its clearly the other way round.

Nomura said that the games in the series so far are the "Xehanort Cronicals".
So no, chances are when we stamp out every last bit of Xehanort (Did we do that?) another guy will turn out to be using him or something.
But Braig is dead. He died again as Xigbar.

Even so, i dont think braig would be the right villian to return as a final boss.

Some form of xehanort weilding the x-blade would be ideal in my opinion.

Braig's always given me the impression of a follower, not a leader.

this most definatly braig aint no leader, maybe a schemer but no leader.

i hope not that'd ruin his character like it did to maleficent and diz

For some reasone I expect the last major antagonist of the series to be some one we doen't know though has some sort of connection to Xehanort. Personally I hope it's some one we don't know because we need a new major villian already; a nice breath of fresh air.
