Anime/Manga ► Worst Anime/Manga You've Ever Witnessed?

I wouldn't say this is the worst, but The Legend of the Lady Mirror is the only manga...manhwa I remember not liking much (since it's the most recent I read). The idea was interesting and the story had potential, but I didn't get attached to any of the characters, there was a poor attempt at surrounding it with mystery but failed.

The genre is listed on mangahere as action, mystery, psychological, romance, shounen and supernatural, but I really only sensed the shounen and supernatural part. Action was just moving in for a kill move (and that's it. One move), it's not very mysterious (doesn't really grab your attention of going "Oh my goodness I can't wait 'til next week, what's going to happen?!?!?"), not psychological in the least bit (maybe because I read Future Diary and not a lot of mangas compare to that super psychological storyline), and the writer was trying to aim for one hating the other but eventually turns to like her more, but all I saw was a innocent clingy girl who just did whatever she was told (due to circumstances, but it is still annoying), and the boy was just dull. I could go on but you get the point:3

I think it still has potential, but so far, it's not doing so great in my opinion.

Ao no Exorcist.

The manga was fantastic but the anime adaptation was pure shit and so predictable I didn't even bother trying to finish it.

That anime has recently become quite trendy I think most of the fanbase doesn't even know about the manga. lol

So I came up with a three-way tie for the worst anime I've seen.

The first is Onigamiden, a fairly recent movie that insults damn near everyone with its blatant hypocrisy.

Second: Dog Days, the premise of which both makes a mockery of war and has the least likable characters (that we were honestly expected to like).

Last of the bunch is Betterman, a show that's promising production values and plot elements were ruined by possibly the least comprehensible narrative and direction that I've ever seen.

Prince of Tennis. Shit was so fucking terrible. Who wants to read a comic about tennis? Ugh.

You are blissfully unaware of the sports genre in anime/manga. Basketball? Quite a few. Baseball? Even more. Boxing? I'm sure you know that one. It is bloody popular.

Oh no, no, no, no, no.

You get that kind of shit every season. There just happened to be more of it this time around. Had to mock some of them just to retain my sanity.

But I've seen worse shows than anything that aired this season. I'll need to think on it before I pick the worst anime of the bunch.

Manga, on the other hand. Oh, that one's pretty easy. I have yet to read a manga that made me as goddamn livid as this one did. And I'm willing to bet that some of you could even fathom a guess as to which one I'm talking about.

Blood Plus is probably one of the worst I've ever watched all the way through. Every Saturday night on Adult Swim just got worse and worse. The first scene of the first episode was what got me into watching it, but you never see anything relatively like that scene (just hardcore bloody violence) in the rest of the series.

Trinity Blood was also pretty ehh. It had some decent episodes.

Pretty much 80% of what Adult Swim put onto their lineup were pretty terrible.

No Blood + was decent. What was horrible was Blood-C. That show was an abomination. Maybe it would appeal to people who like gore and violence and want to see people get killed in the most brutal ways imaginable but to anyone else, it's absolute garbage. There are no likable characters. The pacing sucks. The episodes put you through a lot of boredom before it finally gives you a few minutes of action. The story was frustrating. The main character was useless despite the fact she was supposed to be the hero. It had a decent soundtrack though.

hmm, Hagure Yuusha no Estestica. I watched it just to see how bad it was and it gave me a headache I kid you not.

This name sounded familiar, then I remembered the 2012 lineup thread.

Every anime gets a normal review, then all the sudden its pure rage on this one, made me rofl.

I feel like watching out of curiosity myself but I know I'm going to come back to this thread going "an hour of my life kupoing trashed".

The worst thing I’ve ever had to sit through was probably high school of the dead (actually because of someone on this forum like 10 years ago)

I’ve also watched some horrible stuff that I actually enjoyed. Like ummm that one with the vampire brothers? Diabolik Lovers lol. That was some enjoyable garbage
