Well, all they did was talk. Not really anything too special. But it may be that she knew that Sora had Ven in him, so maybe that's why she cried. Either that or she was just like "Oh hey that kid grew up!"

But I'm not too sure if one meeting could make them get close.

yes she did cause ven is the only one who hasnt met sora and terra and aqua are the ones who met riku and sora but aqua met kairi and she told her that she was going to meet 2 young boys
