When has he not?

_______________

That's what I'm trying to figure out.

You see, I'm a huge fan of Lost and I do believe they had 3/4 of the story in mind and don't make it up as they go a long. While Nomura may not have had everything pre-planned when he made KH1, it would make it a lot cooler if he had. I remember reading an interview with him when KH1 came out and he said he'd like to make it a franchise, but at the very end, he has the final scene in mind already.

Nomura himself has admitted that he and his team largely make up the plot as they go along, he only had vague ideas of where he wanted the series to go after they finished KH1. He said that if the game hadn't sold well all the mysteries in the first game would have remained unanswered.

He seems to be more sure of where the series is heading now, I think, but along the way they've had to/will end up retcon(ning) quite a few things (see: timeframe of when apprentices turn into nobodies).

During KHII development, if he ever said to anyone that he was cooking up a great game, then thats one example.

Nomura, so far, pretty much has kept his word for the most part. Some people just try to bash him because he didn't snap his fingers one day and have the entirety of the KH plot and details figured out over the duration of a few seconds. Others also try to bash him on games that haven't even been released yet, saying how "this shouldn't be possible", but it's best to ignore those who make such rash comments.

Haha!!

I think he mostly keeps his word. I personally do think he had this all preplanned, and that's why KH1 ended with a cliffhanger and that secret ending. Now he is just fitting all the puzzle pieces together.

He has a lot of the things planned, but definetly not all of it. Things like Xion's influence with Roxas was planned even during KH2's development, although Xion's character herself wasn't planned fully until they started Days.

It's a mix.

People will always have a different perspective on whether he has kept his word on certain details about the game....from my perspective he really hasn't for a number of reasons. Now i'm not butt hurt over the fact that changes had to be made to mingle the after stories with his first KH creation, because it still remains that i'm eager to know how the series plays out. In my opinion it's not a total wreck because something really good could come out of the next few games to come, and i expect everyone to feel the same, even for those who have long lost interest in the series.

Bashing him on th e entirety of the KH plot is somewhat reasonable with the direction it's taken. Changes are meant to be made within his circle of people, not out in the public of his fans (that is bad). When you have to constantly make reports and interviews to explain your story, and then make new ones simply to change what you have done/said in the past as obsolete in comparison is simply showing everyone that a story is not being well put together. It's true that he can't snap his fingers and have the entire plot in his head as it's a total thinking process of development, but at the same time it's his story, if he doesn't have it together than maybe he should have put more time into it before presenting it.

Outside of KH becomes a concern, because ppl will interpret others for what they do, and soon after for who they are. It's simple logic for ppl to be worried of any game that he creates because if they see something that he has done in the past that was poorly presented they will judge from there on. This doesn't just apply to games, but perhaps movies, cars, clothes, places....we all may generally find something unappealing more than once and judge it from then on.

I'm hoping to see a brighter side to the series, even after its ups and downs because i think their is a lot of promise in good with this series. I still can't get over the fact that it's a collaboration of Disney and Final Fantasy.
