As I mentioned in another thread, I think it's obvious they are going to be in a dream because thats the only way they could become younger after KH2. Many others have said that too though.

I hope they won't use the KH1 outfits for long. I know my complaining about this matter is annoying but we've seen those clothes so many times it's becoming slightly annoying. The idea about the armors TAV had sounds cool, even though I don't like those that much.
Ha dude that's such a win.
I'd be up for like Armor. im hopin it comes in eventually, maybe KH3.
but as long as KH2 comes back, i'll be happy.

I don't care if it's Sora in KH1 outfit, I just want KH2 Sora back.

I think its time for Sora to get some new "Duds" as goofy would call it. And not armor, leave that with TAV.
You mean Terra, Aqua, Ventus, who got it from Eraqus and MX? You can assume they got it from their masters, who got it from theirs...it's not just a TAV thing. They will likely get armor.
Yes, but its not just a "master" thing either. It seems as if Yen Sid will be Sora's master and neither he nor Mickey have armor.

We can assume a lot of things about the armor:
- it's forged by specialists specifically for Keyblade wielders
- it's a secret art passed down through the generations for Masters to create armor for their students
- like the Keyblade, it can be awakened
etc, etc, etc...
That's what I came up with anyways.
But at least personally, I can see Riku getting armor. Sora though, I see more likely to continue using the gummi ship, assuming they'll retain that aspect of a "Sora scenario" and Donald and Goofy will travel alongside with you. If he obtains armor and goes off on his own, I dunno, it feels off. That's just a personal thing though.
We do not know, though. The thing is, people want them to have armor, most of the other users have armor, hell, Xehanort has armor in No Heart, so we can assume they will have armor.
It's amazing how any little bit of information can make me even more stoked for this game.

It definitely feels off for Sora to not be in the Gummi Ship with Donald and Goofy.

But if you think about it, what role will Donald and Goofy play in KH3? Weren't they only helping out Sora in the first place to find Mickey? I haven't played KH1, so I wouldn't know. What I can deduce, though, is that the bonds with Sora, Donald, and Goofy have grown quite strong. And apparently, so have the bonds with these forum members grown with Donald and Goofy 
I personally would rather see Donald and Goofy play a secondary role, and become more attached to Mickey throughout KH3. It should be Sora/Riku/Aqua as the main trio, IMO. That way, all of the keyblade wielders awaken their armor. Furthermore, Nomura has repeatedly stated that we should look toward Kingdom Hearts 3D, and more importantly, VersusXIII for hints as to what the future KH3 gameplay will look like. More specifically, Versus showcases a broader party system, letting you not only control any party member at will, but also during the course of the storyline switch out party members depending on the situation.
This causes me to come to the conclusion that in KH3, we will most likely be able to switch between party members at will. I would love this, in order to switch to Riku whenever possible (lol). I believe that if Donald and Goofy do in fact play secondary roles in the storyline, they will inevitably be swapped into the party at times in the game.
And if you do have the ability to freely swap control between party members, I imagine that Donald and Goofy wouldn't have the most interesting of attacks. I would much rather have more interesting characters to control and utilize such powers.

Hmm, new outfits? That sounds good! XD Their old outfits have been re-used way too many times now. I'm pretty sure Nomura-san can come up with something way more awesome =) Can't wait! I'm getting excited now =D
From what I understood of the article was that we get start out in their KH2 outfit will be able to switch back to it at some point in the game. I doubt Sora and Riku will be getting new clothes at least not until the ending anyway. Whatever the case so long we get to play as KH2 Sora and Riku I don't really care.
Who the heck said he can't fit in the gummi ship? It sits three people (at least Sora's does) no to mention he can just plant himself on the floor.
Furthermore, what's the problem with asking Chip and Dale to put a fourth seat in the cockpit? *ggg*

I agree with you. Riku will get an armor for himself but as for Sora, he remain travel with Gummi Ship, unless they change the gameplay into Sora will be goling on journey alone.
OR unless Donald and Goofy getting an armor too xDD

Let's clarify something up, ok.
What Nomura actually means is a matter of context. It depends mainly on what he means by current. Current could mean as in the current Timeline in which they wear their KH2 attire. However, he could also mean current as in what has been seen of 3D thus far, which would mean that they would start out with their KH1 attire, that is also the only thing we have seen thus far. Therefore, his sentence can be interpreted as either.
On the Armor, well, Mickey found his way out to other Worlds with the Gummiship and in BBS he Travels with Yen Sids Star-thingy, then later using the Hallway of darkness Portal-thingies. There he wears his Robe. But why wouldn't he use the Armor? Well, I believe it's safe to assume that he was in the RoD for awhile and Armor, unlike a Cloak, is effing heavy. Yen Sid is no argument at all, as far as I can recall we've thus far only actually seen him sitting in his Tower, no reason for him to wear Armor there. Even if Characters other then TAV use Armor, you wouldn't necessarily know it. We do know however that Eraquas and Xehanort also had Armor, so seeing as the majority of trained Keyblade Wielders use or used Armor, I believe it's safe to assume that it could very well be a actual Master thing. (Besides keep in Mind what Mickey might have looked like with Armor, Disney doesn't want their Characters presented in the wrong light.) So, besides Donald and Goofy there isn't anything speaking against Armor and Gliders. So, we take a quick look at some of the newer Title, BBS and 3D, mainly BBS. We are alone at nearly all times. In 3D we have thus far also not seen anything about companions following us around. So it could be that we are being weened on the idea of playing alone in the future. It is also possible that Sora would want to go without Donald and Goofy, afterall, they are his Friends and they don't really have a affiliation to what is going on, so why would he want to put them in harms way for no reason? Of course it wouldn't be very Donald and Goofy to just shrug that off, I could see them following him on his Glider with the Gummi Ship, him eventually just going back on board the Ship, still however being very capable of using a Glider and Armor. Also, this seems to be the only obvious means of Transportation open to Riku, so he would probably get the Armor and what not. Why give it to him and not Sora other then Gameplay reasons that would create a kind of Plothole. Some could argue that Riku might be the only to pass, seriously, I doubt that, if anything I would expect it to happen the other way around, but even then, Terra and Ventus weren't Masters, yet they both still had Armor and Gliders. At this point I would like to state that with Master thing I meant actually being trained. Riku and Sora just kind of stumbled into the whole story.
About 3D in itself. I don't have anything to back it, but I think it is going to be a Simulation, not an actual Dream. I believe Sora and Riku will very well be aware that what is happening isn't necessarily real. This would also explain the random Character Switches, it could simply be Yen Sid changing which person he is focusing on at the moment. It could be that they have to relive certain events, basically a test if they could repeat the success they had in the past or if they really only managed because of all the people working in the background. For me the only real question would be if they would retain any knowledge of the past or even the idea that it is a simulation while actually inside it, that wuld be a way to explain the KH 1 Clothes. It is also the only way I could see Riku actually having some kind of struggle with the darkness again.
Also, concerning new Clothes altogether. People saying it won't make sense because of the timeline should pipe down. All we know thus far is that Sora recieved the Letter shortly after coded, nothing more and nothing less. We have no clue what kind of Time Span 3D will cover. We don't know how long it would actually take for Xenahort to reform, so basically we have no idea how pressing the matter actually is at the time. Especially with ideas of Time Travel somehow being (although I doubt that seeing as how Xehanorts actions in BBS would make little sense if he could just travel through time, or anything else he does for that matter) given. So, basically, anything could still happen that passes a year, I don't see that being a Problem. So, new Clothes for 3D or KH3 ARE definitely possible.
