Kingdom Hearts 3D will have a regular ending and a secret ending (which is kinda the norm with KH games). The regular ending is supposed to be a departure from what we expect from Kingdom Hearts endings, and the secret ending will cryptically connect to the next KH game (KH3 is not specifically mentioned).

Maybe a cliffhanger? Since this is supposed to be the opening for the Saga's conclusion, I could see a cliffhanger. That way in KH3 we can be thrown straight into the action.

Hopefully CGI Secret Ending. I love the novelty that CGI gives to Another Side, Another Story and Birth By Sleep. Blank Points, Re:coded's (forget the name of scene), and Zero Points were all cool... but they didn't make me as excited as the CGI Endings (there was a less sense of mystery).

Only one of them can die, Riku. Sora cannot die because Nomura has stated that KH will always be Sora's story. What story will we have where Sora is dead -__-

Intresting I wonder what his original concept was.

Probably the same concept as Toy Story 3's original concept:

In the RoS, it turns out that Repliku has been there all along, but he has malfunctioned and he shipped off to Taiwan to be "fixed", but actually he is going to be destroyed and redistributed to stores around the world. After finding out he is planned to be destroyed, Sora and Riku rush off to Taiwan in hopes of saving Repliku before he is terminated along with the rest of the faulty Replikus.

I think the fact that they used the term "cryptically" with regards to the Secret Ending and did not specify KH3 would make this unlikely. I can't imagine how the regular ending being a cliffhanger would present much opportunity for a Secret Ending, unless the SE is for a game that isn't KH3, in which case it would be pretty abusive to leave us at Sora swinging his Keyblade toward Xehanort and then announce that the next game has nothing to do with that. Actually, knowing Nomura, this was probably his original concept before Square told him not to make fans of his games cry.

Shocking ending, huh...

The death of a main character seems unlikely, but I reeeeeeeeeallly want it to happen. Especially since he or she would probably be guaranteed to return at some point.

Alternate shocker ending: Riku passes his Mark of Mastery, but Sora does not.

Alternate shocker ending 2: Sora is housing some sort of supreme darkness, or the key to Xehanort's immortality, or something along those lines of "good character being the cause for bad thing"

Alternate shocker ending 3: Xehanort is Sora's father

Alternate shocker ending 4: Kairi is revealed to be Xehanort and kills Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie

If you look closely at the first famitsu scan we got the very slight beginning of the page on the right there is part of the world shown which I can easily identify as Pastorial Symphony scene in Fantasia due to the puffy gold ground. Just thought id point that out considering its one of my favorite scenes.
