Okay so what exactly are the Replicas? We have seen two Replicas (Xion and Repliku). But what type of being are they? They have emotion and are able to feel but yet they feel incomplete (Like a Nobody). They are whole beings but yet they fade into darkness when killed like a nobody does. Plus they are made and not born.

Exactly what are they?

Replicas are basically fake Nobodies if you think about it. All they really are is shells or bodies or dolls if you prefer. They can be implanted with memories (probably thanks to Namine) and then be fooled by their memories into thinking they are real and have hearts and emotions. Hence why I think when Xemnas refered to Xion as a "special" Nobody, he was pretty much telling the truth.

xion is a imperfect replica of sora created from his leaked memories by xemnas incase he turned out to be useless to the organization's plan. sora's memories are the basis for her being resembling kairi who is his strongest memory

Here is an idea. What if unbirths are replicas?

A replica is a whole being yet they have characteristics of a nobody. Replicas are also created, they are never born.

Let's say MX created replicas that did'nt have human form, these could be the unbirths. Replica's without human form.

DS could be the first Replica that ever had a human form.

Okay let me think here.

Nomura said that unbirths were ancestors to heartless and nobodies. Now if an unbirth is a replica then it would also be a whole being. So if heartless and nobodies come from whole beings then in this way the unbirths would be like there ancestors.

I have already stated that replicas/unbirths are created and not born and that's why they are called unbirths.

Now the reason that DS's face is hidden could be because he is a replica. MX could have made a replica of Terra but this replica is affected by Terra's hatred of Xehanort and thus DS begins to take on an appearance similar to both Terra and MX and thus he becomes Xehanort of KH2.

If he was a replica of Terra but affected by MX in some way it would explain why he has similarities to both MX and Terra.

Now as we know the replicas have to be created, so if unbirths/replicas were being made by MX then when MX dissapears there would be no one left to make more unbirths/replicas and thus they eventualy die out.

Replica's like Nobodies fade into darkness when killed and in all the trailers the unbirths have faded into darkness too.

it does'nt mean they can never return. As long as the process to create a unbirth still exist then they can be created again one day. Extinct does'nt always mean they can never return.

For example:

Dinosaurs went extinct but one day we may be able to clone a dinosaur and thus what was once extinct is now alive again.

If the process to create an unbirth can still be used then why could'nt someone create one later on? Perhaps MX was the only one who knew how to make them and when he dissapeared they died out. However 10 years later Xemnas and Vexen use the same process to create 2 new unbirths (Repliku and Xion) why? Because the process to make unbirths could still be used.

EDIT: Xion was absorbed by Roxas so she technicaly did'nt die. She never faded into darkness, she faded into Roxas. Repliku actually died and no one absorbed him, he faded into the darkness so I assume it's the normal process once a replica is killed.

True, Unibrth have been gone since the end of BBS, but that doesn't mean they won't return along with Xehanhort. But we really need to figure out what their made of before we can say if they'll return or not.

Plus if unbirths are really replicas then their goal may be clear. Both Repliku and Xion felt incomplete, so the unbirths/replicas goal may be to find Kingdom Hearts so they can obtain real hearts instead of the fake hearts they have. If they get real hearts from kingdom hearts then they could be their own person and be truly complete.

Wrong.

She is "No 1" of the Replica project. Now Repliku may have been a more complete replica but Xion was still a replica none the less.

The fact is that both are similar to nobodies but yet a replica is a whole being. However they feel fake and incomplete and unlike whole beings a replica fades into darkness when killed. Plus they are created not born.

Leading to the current discussion of if replicas are unbirths. We are discussing if unbirths are replicas without human form.

I highly disagree that Unbirths are Replicas. But I know it's possible, since it would fit into Replica's being called Unbirths, since you know, they aren't born. But the idea of a Replica is to be the clone/copy of something. So if Unbirths are Replicas, what have they been cloned/copied from? This question leaves me disagreeing that Replicas are Unbirths, because they had to come from something to the cloned, which are also considered to be the ancestors to Heartless and Nobodies.

They feel incomplete because they are whole unlike nobodies on technical terms yet realize they are nothing more than fakes of the originals.

Replicas can not be natural, only through unknown artificial means much like the Embelm/Pureblood Heartless.

Pureblood = No Heart
Embelm = Heart
