I just learned in my anthropology and psychology classes that there are plenty of cultures around the world that still consider virginity as something sacred, especially one that should be kept until marriage. So don't feel pressured by peers into giving up your virginity. I'm saving mine for marriage for personal/religious/spiritual/cultural/etc. reasons, and I could care less about what ultra-individualistic American society thinks. I'd rather be ostracized by the American majority culture than by my own native culture which still highly regards virginity.
