I'd like it if the series became like Final Fantasy or The Legend of Zelda, where each is a stand alone where most (not all) of them are not related to each other at all. They could have the same motifs and themes (ie heartless, darkness, light, etc etc) but still references to the original KH cast like they do in the above games.

That'd be virtually impossible to do if KH is always going to be Sora's story. However, I would appreciate if the future games would share the same theme, or at least develop the current theme/s of the series.

It wasn't confirmed that KH will continue, Nomura just said KH is Sora's story and the protagonist wont change after KH3. Not that there will be anything after KH3 chronologically. Could just receive a plethora of prequels and inbetweenquels.

Anyways, the series is about 3 Friends who want to see other worlds. Doesn't more adventures seem downright logical?
