Beyond that. It has to also do with what Sham mentioned above you; projected sales vs. localization costs. If they aren't going to get a return in revenue for their efforts, they aren't going to bother doing so.

If I recall correctly 3DS adoption rates in Spain and Italy weren't great -- possibly having to do with the countries' economic situations.

Not to mention Latin American countries.

A bad move to those who wanted the game in Spanish. SE know where they might lose money, so why are they going to take the risk? If there is a trend in profit decline in select locations, it is clear they won't put in the effort in those places. It's smart business ethics.

Naw, Mandarin Chinese is harder. English is easy, but we have a ton of grammatical rules, but that goes for any language. It just depends on how easy it is for you to take in a new language that makes it difficult.

I also heard English is hard for this very reason:
EX. 1:
The other day I went into the desert where I decided to desert my dessert.
EX. 2:
I have to go polish my Polish imported furniture.
EX. 3:
There's no time like the present; that's why I decided to present the present to my friend on his birthday.
EX. 4:
I wound the bandage around the wound.
Anyways, I do have some friends whose native language wasn't English and they told me the examples stated above were some of the reasons why they couldn't grasp English right away. And the grammatical rules you mentioned. Like, "I before E except after C, besides a few exceptions like 'height' and 'weigh'.". And then it's so hard to remember those exceptions, they told me.
Oh, and Mandarin Chinese does look really hard. Like, I'd never ever try to learn it because it would either take me years or I'd just fail.

the hardest languages in the world to learn are apparently the Asian languages (Japanese, Chinese, Korean etc.) which sucks for those who would like to learn Jap. for the FM's xP

I am inclined to agree with everyone about SE not bothering to fund the dub in other countries due to fearing a loss of money. But, wouldn't boycotting it, like you seem to be dead set on doing now, only do the opposite of what you want? I mean I have never boycotted anything before, but I don't know, you seem to think not buying the game will change their mind about translating it when people not buying the game are the reason they aren't translating it in the first place... So it would be counter-productive? Maybe? (If I am way off base here, I apologize)

I would be more inclined to agree with what Spock said and to try and show Square that you all do car, and that you do want this in your language. And if that doesn't work, then an online guide made by fans is a decent alternative. I am not fluent in Japanese, just as you are not fluent in English, yet I know enough to get me through the basics and I have enjoyed many Japanese games. I mean that is just my two cents...

The problem is not even a dub, except KH 1 and KH 2 no KH game was ever dubbed in european native Languages around here, the handheld titles always had only the English voices.
The problem here is that they won't even translate the subtitles or menus in those languages, screwing over those Italians and Spaniards who are not fluent in English.

If I saw it correctly there is already a petition running, alongside with one asking to give EU at least something for the 10th Anniversary as well.

On the topic of Dissidia Duodecim, that one Square even botched a bit here in Germany. They translated the dialogue subtitles into German, but beside the voices (which again, is normal in Europe for handheld titles) all menus, item and attack names remained in English, lol, very consistent.

I also agree with Spockanort though on the premise that it is mostly for business reasons.
The kicker to all this? They originally had the website in Spanish and Italian and according to some commenters they apparently took down these versions and only kept the French, German and English versions.

Kh have a story a bit difficult to understand, is diffcult to understand in my language, and in other language? If I don't know the meaning of one word or a sentence? Another question is: Why I MUST pay 50/60€ for a game in english when I don't understand nothing, while a franch o germany people yes? This is discrimination. Sorry for my bad english!

Uh, I don't think that's how it works, these aren't "extra" subtitles. They don't have an option to switch the subtitle-language. They will only deliver versions with English subtitles to UK, Spain, Italy and any other European country who get the game (and most likely Australia) except France and Germany, who will get versions of DDD with French and German subtitles, respectively.

So when I get my German copy, I will only have German subtitles and no access to the English or French ones.
