I wanted to drop in and chime in on this. I think I was misinterpreted on the stream. I didn't refuse help because I think those using the "internet" were being unfair or something, I was saying I personally wasn't going to look something up during the stream because I should have been better prepared and didn't want to waste time looking something up that the people in the chat probably already knew. Part of the problem is we didn't do a good job of monitoring and interacting with the chat, so it seemed like we were largely ignoring people. That wasn't the intent.
Also, I'm sorry some of you feel we were treating the series with "disrespect" and were "ignorant", but that wasn't the intent at all. I like to troll a bit, so a lot of the stream was just joking around. My co-host knew nothing about KH, so I was having a bit of fun messing with him. And yea, we were both being a bit antagonistic to the audience, but it was just in good fun. I suck at playing and talking, so I apologize for running around like an idiot for most the stream and failing at CoM combat. I hope you don't judge a fan by how they play a game - just because you're not good at a game doesn't make you any less of a fan. We reached out to the community to ensure the video will be good and up to fans' expectations, even if it will be a bit on the light side. It's a video meant to be enjoyed by everyone, even those who have no idea about anything KH related. It was really hard doing this for Zelda because I could have made a mini-series about that timeline, but then it would never get done.
Here's where I actually get a bit defensive. Aside from people who believe what's in Hyrule Historia is inaccurate (and by proxy what Nintendo says is truth isn't truth), how was the Zelda Timeline "filled" with inaccuracies. My history with the Zelda series runs twice as long as the KH series has existed, and I've probably spent more time researching and debating the Zelda timeline than is legally sane. I'll give you the timeline video is very "compressed" and skips over a lot of the more intricate details. Technically, it did not precede Hyrule Historia, either. Some of the people involved with the official English version's translation actually translated the Japanese version, which came out a year before our video. Those same people assisted us with the video. As knowledgeable as I am, I still had some of the best timeline theorist in various communities look over the script.

I do not mean to cause offence, but can somebody please explain why there is so much excitement over an unofficial video that is summarising the Kingdom Hearts story? I have found two summaries on YouTube that are informative enough for me (and are made by real Kingdom Hearts enthusiasts, which is apparently not true in the case of this video that is being made), so what is so out-of-the-ordinary about this one?
Well, I watch it because of the visuals. I found the Timeline when I was searching around the Legend of Zelda timelines because I just finished my first Zelda game and was interested in the story. The video is mostly aimed to not just fans but for newcomers, they did a good job on the video and was very informative for someone like me who has never played a Zelda game in her life. So I believe, while they will go over some of the things that are important and not everything that we know about the Kingdom Hearts game series, it's a good thing that will be posted online. Because that way people that never played the games or just started on one and want to know what's going on with the story, this video will help them get up to date, because I mean, I've been playing these games since I was 12, and the story has gone on for so long that even I'm sometimes confused on the story. So this could help get new fans into the series.
Because the GT team is very qualified and based on their previous videos, the KH Timeline video may turn up very grand and entertaining for us to watch.

Tomorrow huh? I'll have to check it out. And i'm surprised that the KH one is going to be longer than the Zelda one since Legend of Zelda has been around over twice as long.
Yep. I remember watching their Metroid retrospective over 6 years ago. They're pretty in depth and thorough.
