Not necessarily a bad idea, but I cant see it happening anytime soon.

Might be kinda interesting although to be honest, it would kind of be like Re:Coded-easily covered in a few cutscenes.

Not a good idea... I mean a game about Sora when he was young? >_>
But it's not technically Vanitas. Look at Lingering Sentiment. Is he Terra? No he's not. So even if Vanitas Sentiment is canon, it isn't the original Vanitas.
This idea isn't boring...its stupid....for a game anyways....maybe you should write fanfic...that seems more like the thing to do with this kind of game
I don't to sound mean but what would be the point of this? Wooden swords fighting Unverse? that sounds like the game of the year....if wooden sword couldnt kill a heartless...how would it kill and unverse? And plus that would totally kill the rest of the KH story and create more plotholes.

But considering if there is a sentiment of Vanitas, there is still a small chance of the real one reappearing.
But he still died. Whether or not he comes back or not doesn't matter, he still died. Just like Xemnas died... sure he's going to be brought back through Apprentice Xehanort... but he still died. So even if Vanitas comes back, that doesn't change the fact that he did in fact die. It just means he comes back from death. And that's assuming Vanitas Sentiment is even canon.
