Well I finally saw the cutscene with the Fairy Godmother. I gotta say she looks great in KH3's graphics

Finally found it too. And...it kinda looks like she'll play a bigger role in things in...whatever next game there is, since she seems to be talking about looking through the Dreamscape for any clues of Sora. Kinda like a DDD 2.0 or...something. I kinda like the role they gave Fairy Godmother and never really expected her to play into something like this.

You need to put attention to the Guardians during the battle against the seekers. The conversations are hilarious.

Aqua literally yells at Axel telling him to stop talking and to focus on fighting. And he was like Girl calm down. And after Roxas big attack, Ven says to Roxas something like “that was a cool move. Your Roxas right?” Roxas was like “Yeah you also seem to be quite good in fighting”

And I’m like Guys you’re literally in a war why are you so relaxed?

Being in a war is just part of their daily routine at this point.

So, I haven't posted in quite awhile, haven't delved into KHdom in any shape or form. Loved KH3, then moved on to other games. The Re:Mind stuff looked mildly interesting, but keep in mind I'm not the kind of fan that plays these games FOR the story, so to speak. I enjoy the cutscenes as entertaining cheese (with moments of genuine effectiveness being few and far between) and not much more beyond that, so Re:Mind looking like WE ADDED EVEN MORE CUTSCENES wasn't exactly tempting me to drop thirty bucks on this thing. MORE BOSS BATTLES? Hm, that has me a bit more intrigued, but all the footage I saw gave me the impression nearly all these fights are dealt with by myself, save one I saw with Kairi (whatever the context for that is). And as I've expressed many a'time in the past, I find being alone in a KH game to be quite dull. So, if you'll pardon my ignorance on the subject of Re:Mind, I have a few questions.
-Are any of these extra boss battles fought alongside Donald and Goofy?
-Is there a new dungeon of some kind to explore, ala Cavern of Remembrance?
-Do I indeed need to play the game all over again to see the new stuff? I don't mind if that's the case, as I haven't played KH3 since finishing my Critical mode playthrough (which already feels like a long time ago, holy cow).

I did read some spoilers from the Secret Episode and I'm miffed that the Nameless Star ended up being not-Stella and not Strelitzia who I guess is just straight up dead now.

I was hoping she was Strelitzia as well. I’m still hoping she turned into a Nobody, MoM or anybody retrieved her at some point and moved her forward to the current timeline. This way we can get Lauriam and Elrena to reunite with her in the future. Do it somehow, Nomura.

can we rule out MoM's identity as a older Sora? He actually told Xehanort his name and if he is indeed Sora you'd think Xehanort would have picked up on that. Instead he called Sora "dull and ordinary"

Finished the ReMind scenario last night.

Honestly, the amount of reused cutscenes and boss battles was a little insane. We've seen the Terra-Xehanort "today is the day you all lose" like....5 times now

I'm inbetween on the SoKai divide. I love old-style Disney romance (the Prince serenading Snow White on the balcony is adorable; Ariel singing to Eric on the beach is so sweet). I don't like SoKai. I guess Kairi is closer to being like the interchangeable Disney princes of Walt's day who had no personality at all, while Sora is the princess who gets all the spotlight. Even thinking of it that way, I still don't like it. The simplicity of it isn't the issue for me.

Anyway, I'll have to watch everything on YouTube later, but all these comments about the SoKai factor and the continuing XV infestation of KH and the likelihood of a Kairi game *gag* are depressing as hell. I'm wondering if I even want to see this now. At least the Fairy Godmother looks f***ing awesome, my sole consolation here. lol

Isn't that Luxu and not MoM? He looks taller than MoM, and also I don't see a way for MoM to be present at that time. Of course, this would be Luxu two or three bodies before Braig...

Speaking of time, the interesting part of that scene is when it took place. Xehanort and Eraqus as destiny chess players are about same age. If that was 75 years ago, and Eraqus is maybe in his late 40s in BBS, then he must have jumped forward by about 35 years at some point.

So just to keep track of the obvious Versus XIII stuff, I'm going to go back to the E3 2013 trailer when it was announced Versus XIII would be rebranded as XV. Nomura was still in charge back then. From characters shown off in that trailer, we can get:

Noctis = Yozora
Aegis = Ignis with Gladio's body
Magia = Prompto
Stella = not-Stella
Cor Leonis = the driver who looks like Luxord I suppose

That leaves Regis, Aldercapt, Ardyn, Verstael, Ravus/Lupus, and Gentiana unaccounted.

I have speculation that Ardyn had elements recycled into Brain from Union X, but that's just baseless speculation from me, even more than the driver.

MoM isn’t evil. He might say things like he wants to destroy the world or whatever but I think the fact that they keep pushing it the way they are means he’s totally not evil.

In fact, I’d say he might be closer to being like Joshua who wanted to destroy Shibuya because he believed it was unsalvageable due to how corrupt the city had become and used his proxy Neku, the worst soul he could find, was able to change.

MoM kinda nudging Xehanort into his path made me feel like this was similar to that.

But that’s just a theory...a game theory.

I think the Master of Masters is evil in the context of the FNC which Normua just dug up and attempt to exhume the corpse. Throughout that entire franchise, fate was a major player from vanilla XIII to Agito XIII. In Final Fantasy XIII, the theme was to defy your fate as a mortal. In Final Fantasy Versus XIII, versus meaning opposite, it means accepting fate, something present in XV as well. In Agito XIII, the theme was trying to fulfill fate and avert it with the Fal'Cie trying to fulfill their programing of opening Etro's Gate while the mortals try to defy the fate they have experienced 600,000,000 times.

The Master of Masters is obviously representing fate since he did write a book of prophesies.

If anyone's wondering about the Fairy Godmother....

She appears after you beat Limit Cut. She mentions Riku might be the key to saving Sora, as per request of Yen Sid to investigate Riku's dreams, and along two others. And after she said that, the scene pans to Kairi and the Final World, which probably means they're the two other keys to save Sora.

And in regards to the end scene of Limit Cut, just a theory:

So in connection with the Re:Mind Nomura interview and the Fairy Godmother scene, Kairi might play a role in the next game? Like she might go with Riku to look for Sora? Riku did mention that his dream was the one shown in the base game Secret Ending, which means it's not really a preview for the next games, but an epilogue scene to KH3. Which kinda means that only Sora's side was the real Secret Ending in the base game.

Thank you so much qbaysan,regarding on the Fairy Godmother. Because most of us were wondering if she was really in ReMind or not. I'm actually glad to see her become a supporting Disney character in the KH plot.

I thought I was the only one, but I really DON'T want a game with her as the protagonist.

the original concepts for Versus 13:

From the old information and trailers that we had of Versus XIII. I actually think the story lends itself better to a kingdom hearts game over a final fantasy. I agree it might be a little petty. But if you were working on a game about death/sleeping worlds for about a decade. And then they RIP that all out and tell a story about friends and family and barely stick with your actually vision for the game. You would likely be pretty annoyed about it.
That said. Maybe DDD was really just to set up the story ideas he had been building for Versus XIII. I remember talks about Noticis being able to tap into the realm of sleep and the original story was heavily based on that. It's why Insomnia was named as such. All the Versus XIII trailers were taken in the city. This all changed when they took him off of the project and they renamed it FF15.

Honestly after reading about that, I have to agree it fits with KH really well. It kinda makes me wonder if this crossover started forming in his brain in 2010 when development restarted (for the second time no less) and when DDD was announced. These probably would've been FF cameos rather than Yozora and Co if development had gone as planned (thanks for taking nearly everyone off the team to fix your own mess, 14).

Aren't you exaggerating a bit? I can understand perfectly not liking a character in particular (different strokes for different folks), but skipping the entire series because you didn't care for said character or game is kinda... extreme. You just have to ignore that game, or watch the story on YouTube or something so you don't have to spend time and money on it.

seriously, there's a rather large amount of crystal symbolism in remind. The team attack Riku, Mickey and Sora have represents the lights as crystals. Kairi's heart is split into crystals. The bad Yozora ending has Sora crystallised. Subtle flew out the window a long *long* time ago
