Well, first he always checks to see if his video game company has it. (Idk what it's called or anything) which they most likely won't, so then I'll tell him he must pre-order it from amazon, for the sake of pre-ordering it.

He'll usually listen, cause he knows I'll bug him until he does. =P

Ah I see. Thats a really handy friend I wish I had someone I knew like that.

Well, if you pre-order through for example a rental shop, often they buy them from whatever dealer they can use. I know the one back at my hometown does that for us.
