I’ve just noticed, Pooh’s Grand Adventure is listed as a movie that hasn’t been represented.

Wasn’t that movie the inspiration for the cave mini game in KH2?

I'm actually surprised that someone's yet to talk about the latest upcoming Pixar movie! Has everyone ever wondered about Mei Lee's potential as a party member if Turning Red was made into a world for a future Kingdom Hearts title?

I'll tell you one thing mates, I think she makes a FUR-TASTIC party member material, what with the ability to transform into a Red Panda through powerful emotions. I know this movie isn't coming out until at least next year and we don't know the full story to it, but it looks pretty promising so far! The thought of Mei's ancestors having strong connections to Red Pandas is a quite clever concept that Tetsuya Nomura can utilize for a Kingdom Hearts-esque narrative! I can already imagine Mei in her big, fluffy Red Panda-self wrapping Donald Duck in a spine-snapping hug! XD

Plus, with the premise of the movie set around emotions and anxiety, I think the Unversed and Vanitas would definitely play the role in that world, just like how they did in Monstropolis, where they harnessed the power of screams (Fear and sadness) to gain control over the Monsters Inc. Factory!

There are so many recent Disney films that make me wonder how they might've been implemented if they'd been out back when the series began. Frozen, for example, relates so well to RIku's story, but by 3, most of that story has already passed. Moana likewise would fit perfectly in KH1 considering its story about darkness taking over the world because Te Fiti's heart (the world's heart) had been stolen.

And now Encanto, which I feel like would have fit well in 3. Or, you know what, it would've been perfect for 3D. Spoilers:

Considering the movie is set in a mystical place that appeared out of nowhere to protect the family from danger--sounds like something that would've happened to a world during the "apocalypse" of KH1, it became a sleeping world before the Heartless could overtake them. Then there's Bruno's power of prophecy and how that could've been related to the time travel perhaps? Like maybe he looks into Sora's future and sees something undecided about how the 13 v. 7 battle ends being dependent on Sora's own actions--how he chose to use the power of waking. All that and also...the colors of Mirabel's dress remind me so much of the Dream Eaters.

Just a single piece of concept art and a vague description and I can already envision this being a great world for Kingdom Hearts. If I had any artistic talent, I would redraw this with KH characters, some Heartless and maybe throw in Kingdom Hearts itself for good measure. But alas I sadly do not.

Well last night, Epic put out a playable tech demo for Unreal Engine 5 based on the Matrix &....... gee golly:

They could go 'effin' nuts with future live action based worlds now.

If I had any artistic talent, I would redraw this with KH characters, some Heartless and maybe throw in Kingdom Hearts itself for good measure. But alas I sadly do not.

I just had a thought about what a Princess and the Frog world could be titled. Usually, I just think it could be called "The Mystical Bayou" or something like that. But a better idea would be, if they don't want to specifically name worlds after real cities (see Mulan's world being called LoD China or Greece being called Olympus), they could always use New Orleans' nickname "The Crescent City" as the world's name. I never thought of it before, but it would be a really pretty name for the world!

They could also call it the city of dreams, a pretty apt name considering that dreams are a major focus of the movie. So much potential in that world given the power of unreal engine 4 and the movie's unique setting, I mean when was the last time we were able to explore a bog in a kingdom hearts game (oh, I guess Kingdom of COVID's swamp counts).

I'm not going to lie, I was kind of skeptical for more recent DISNEY films being featured more heavily than the classics in KH. Especially avoiding revisits to worlds like Agrabah and Atlantica (which sucks).

However, I just realized that if they do more of the recent films, then FINALLY Sora will have more than 1 female DISNEY party member (unless they don't let characters be in the party). There are so many different and vibrant worlds they can use:

Zootopia
Moana
Raya and the Last Dragon
Encanto
Brave
Inside Out

And of course when they inevitably revisit Arendelle, hopefully Elsa joins the party.

Ever since Zootopia, I think every Disney Animation movie was designed to have a world that can easily be transplanted into Kingdom Hearts.

There’s a stage show at Disney World that refers to Tiana’s land as the Bewitching Bayou. I’ve been advocating for KH to use that name for years. The Crescent City has a nice ring to it as well though!

True, but I can't see the KH games being a major consideration while crafting a story. It might be a note from above, but I wouldn't expect there being to much focus put on it. That said I do wonder, if SE can import the world models from the movies into their game engine and rework them, would make recreating the worlds a lot easier.

I know the rest of your post is about including more recent films but I just wanted to add, it's been like, almost 13 years since the Princess and the frog, and Brave was a good 7 or 8 years ago too. Not so sure we can call them recent anymore

I'm just hoping the reason there was always only 1 female party member is because of the world choices and not some other dumb reason. Arendelle is sort of a red flag because if Mike Wazowski or Rapunzel could be party members (or even Woody), I don't see why Anna or Elsa couldn't have been. The obvious reason being that DISNEY didn't want those character used beyond the exact film recreation.

At least KH3 gave us Kairi, Aqua, and Xion as party members as well.

It will raise red flags to me if we visit multiple female led worlds like Zootopia, Moana, and Arendelle, and then end up with only 1 female party member. Like imagine if they put Moana and Raya in a game as the only female led worlds, then you have Raya and in Moana's world you get Maui instead.
