Imagine if after the PC announcement they also announce Kingdom Hearts games coming to Switch.

But seriously, I'm hoping for Super Mario Odyssey 2, a new Pokemon game and just a Smash character I know. I don't care who as long as I enjoy the way the character plays, but it's better if I know the character at least. Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Rayman are my favourites of the realistic picks.

I wouldn't mind Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks in a set with Wind Waker. But then how on earth would the game control? It would have to be way more than just a graphics tweak if it is to play in handheld and TV mode. Same reason Skyward Sword is unlikely without a major gameplay overhaul. (Even though I happen to like that one a lot.)

Could be done like TWEWY, using gyro for an on-screen pointer. Maybe they'll be merciful & let Link move with the analogue stick.

SS can easily just have joycons sub for wiimote+nunchuck, even more so than other Wii games because it already relied on gyro over IR sensor to begin with.

As for Mario, that's a good point, and I'd be totally down for that. Odyssey blew me away and was some of the most fun I had ever had with a videogame and expanding upon that, making it more open would only make it better.

There was a Smash announcement it was Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I was surprised that the first thing they showed in the direct was an Smash announcement I thought they would leave it to the end.

I love Mario sports games so I'm definitely picking up Super Rush. I never owned a Wii U so I'm excited about finally getting to play Skyward Sword. Never owned an Xbox either so I'm happy about finally getting to play Stubbs. Buying the Ninja Gaiden collection and Triangle Strategy as well. But no BOTW2 news? This slow burn is a bit too slow. I feel like the purpose of this Direct was: hey, we know you've been bitching about getting a Direct, so here, these are some of the titles that COVID fucked up their launch, with some big titles sprinkled on top. The problem wasn't Skyward Sword per se, but rather, people had REASONABLE expections, like, dunno, like you mentioned: mention the freaking anniversary. Just Skyward Sword? What about a duo of WW and TP?

Pyra/Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is/are the new Fighter. I laughed. I expected this the moment they put XC2 as the Direct's intro. I presumed the internet was gonna go in a meltdown.

No, no. I was referring mostly to it being Nintendo's most ambitious project to date, haha. But I doubt they could divide a hypothetical Ocarine of Time Remake in several parts, let alone two. OoT Remake Episode 1: Young Link would be way too short.

-Great Deku Tree is the 2nd dungeon of the game, not the 1st.
-New 1st dungeon is where the Kokiri Sword is found as its dungeon item.
-This extended Kokiri forest sequence is used to flesh out Link's relationships with Saria & Mido more, showing the trio as friends that grew apart as Mido got more & more jealous of Link (Like you literally just talk to Saria once before having to leave in the original game & yet the game acts it's so sad saying bye to her. More screen time before this point is needed).
-There's a fourth spiritual stone to collect, the Rito Diamond. It corresponds to Hylia.
-Speaking of which, Hylia is retconned into the legend of Hyrule's creation.
-Rito Village is a new area of the game, accessed through the northwest of Hyrule Field (which was always kind of a weird dead end in the original)
-A particular rito NPC encountered is named Kasuto, named after the 1 town in Zelda 2 that doesn't already share a name with an OoT character.
-Beneath the Well is played in this part with retweaked means of entering it.
-Gerudo Valley is explorable as YL. Kasuto helps Link fly past the guards. The YL half of Spirit Temple is played in this part.
-Hyrule Castle under siege is the penultimate dungeon with Ganondorf as the boss. Ganondorf can't be defeated, just stalled long enough for Zelda to escape. (this does mean the iconic dream scene is retconned).
-Actual final dungeon is the Light temple, a cut area from the original game, entered when Link acquires the Master Sword. Master Sword is wielded like a two-handed weapon, sacrificing use of the shield if equipped. Final boss of the game is Phantom Ganon that the real Ganondorf creates with his newly acquired Triforce of Power.

-Sheik spends the game alternating between waging a private war against Ganondorf's forces & seeking the identities of the sages.
-Final boss is Majora in its pre-mask form. Majora's spirit is trapped in the mask after Sheik destroys its body.

Total dungeon count: 7 (1 per year)

GAME 3: Adult Link arc

-Light Temple is first dungeon, it's layout heavily altered by Ganondorf trashing the place on his way out. Link's childhood items (slingshot, boomerang, etc.) are useable but break at plot convenient moments.
-Hyrule is far more devastated in the remake. Overworld practically a wasteland.
-New Wind Temple, another cut from the original. The rito ally from part 1 is the wind sage.
-Yes, this ups the number of sages to 8, which conflicts with LttP's backstory. But WW/TP did that backstory even dirtier if we're honest.
-Dark Link is the boss of the Forest Temple in Phantom Ganon's place. We all know he was too good to be a mini-boss & Dark Link attacking Saria is just too demented an idea to not go with.
-Ice Cave & Training Grounds are enlarged to be more full scale dungeons.
-Water Temple is like even harder & more confusing, because **** the players.
-We see more progress of Hyrule being restored as Link finishes temples. Zora's Domain actually unfreezes this time around, which also restores the flowing river, which in turn sees a return of vegetation to Hyrule Field. The Forest Temple being cleared brings life back to the trees of the overworld. Beating Shadow Temple removes undead enemies from the field (still leaves the living moblins & such). Wind temple has the return of wind blowing the grass & clouds moving across the sky.

-Many of the sidequests are reworked/expanded/replaced to account for the week long cycle or for the sake of changing it up from the original version.
-Some new Termina NPCs based on OoT characters that weren't reference before, including kokiri, the ritos added to the Remake series, & counterpart of Zelda/Ganondorf (apparently Ganondorf was planned to be a fisherman in MM but was cut).
-New NPCs have their own questlines in the Bomber Notebook.
-Tingle gets a questline in the Bomber Notebook. Thought I forgot about him?
-Gerudo, & Rito mask transformations are added.

Total dungeon count: 11 (counting Pirate Fortress, Ikana Castle, & inside the Moon, which are all expanded)

GAME 5: Adult Link Redux

-The finale of the bloated Hero of Time saga.
-Prologue is a flashback with a playable teen Ganondorf, showing his fall to madness after discovering the lost sword of Demise (AKA Ghiraheim's sword form), which corrupted him.
-Adult Link is the protagonist for the rest of the game, having aged properly this time.
-Ganondorf, still alive & free in this timeline, has launched a new attack to take over Hyrule. Relizing he won't get his hands on the Triforce anymore, he has spent the 7 years searching for new items of power.
-New locations/changes to Hyrule that act as a prelude to TP. Ordon Village is a new area for example.
-Final Boss is Ganondorf with Demise's Sword & classic Blue Ganon with the Trident of Power.

I can see everything happening, except the Sheik sequence and the overhaul of Majora's Mask. If they were to remake MM, they would leave it as is and only upscale the graphics like that concept trailer we got close to an e3 that everyone thought was real.

Takeaway #1: This will be nowhere near as in-depth as Dreams.
Takeaway #2: This will sell way more than Dreams.
Takeaway #3: It'll be a lot simpler for users to wrap their heads around than Dreams (which'll no doubt factor in it selling more).
