goldpanner, you have NO idea how much I fcuking love you.
I think, now that I've thought things out more thoroughly, Riku will probably pass first, but Sora will probably end up earning the title before the game's done, or at the beginning of KH3.
The trust theme for 3D AND that implication that MX isn't alone this time was what made me think Sora will fail; Vanitas anyone? >:3
I'm pretty sure it stated that Yen Sid was a Master but retired. So its still possible to count him in the boat. They have to save Aqua but they seem like they've known where she was for awhile which seems to me like they could get her easily and she'd count as a master. But like you said the most possible choice is most likely Mickey. He has been Yen Sid's apprentice for quite awhile now and i'd be pretty upset if after everything that has happened, he's still not a master yet.Yen Sid retired. He is not a Master, and is but a consultant to Eraqus, I believe that was established quite well in BBS.
Aqua; did Yen Sid know she was a master? Probably. And besides, being stuck in the Dark Realm might count her out, since Yen Sid seemed to be saying they only had one master, with the intention of going to find TAV. Why count on the person you're rescuing to be a person to help from the start?
That only leaves...Mickey. Mickey, who was always an apprentice to Yen Sid and pretty much cut himself off from his training during BBS. We don't know what happened in that glorious 9-year gap, though. Is he ever addressed as a Master?
The only other person I can think of is Eraqus. Yen Sid did know of the whole Heartless dies > Nobody dies > Whole person thing, and if he knew about Erqus, he may know something about where his heart went. And then we have Eraqus' Sentiment and its potential to add some more plot on.
Get out of my head you brain ninja.∞;5307920 said:One of two things will happen:
Sora will pass the exam purely because he's the protagonist, and in a repeat of Terra, Riku will fail and be all emo-angsty.
or
Riku passes, and Sora fails, but he doesn't let it get to him. Later on in the game, all the rest of the Masters who exist at the time get fcuked over, and Sora's the one who has to save their asses.
